I couldn't resist coming to your blog to share something that's been on my mind during the whole story but also ask a question. Apologies if this gets long, I have a bad habit of yapping + being passionate for wavewave like no one else. First and foremost, your writing and handling of difficult subjects is divine. Seriously. I've had personal experience with some of the more difficult topics covered in the story, and you covered them wonderfully. I'd shout it from the rooftops if I could! Your writing style has me in awe, really! The way you describe each character and give them room to feel like their own characters / beings instead of soulless plot device is seriously admirable. You handled topics that most authors wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole with such grace and understanding that someone who's been through certain things can't help but feel grateful and seen. (Me!!!)

This song has caused me to sob harder over the cassettes than I'd like to admit, I've had it playing for each grief heavy chapter and it just personally made a stab wound feel like a missile dropped on me. I always connect fics I read with music, and this one in particular deserves a song that's very dear to me. There's several other songs but this one is like the ruler of them all.

Now for the question(s)!

I'm very curious to see how things go with Shockwave carrying, specifically nosy about how that will work with them being in prison? And I won't lie the statement that Ratbat is the last cassette makes me feel an impending sense of doom...

I have to note that seeing Shockwave be "protective" of Soundwave during the trial since he got exposed made me all soft inside. It's the fact Shockwave doesn't experience emotions and empathy like others and yet still that ""love"" (Shockwavey love) shines through our beloved One-Eyed mad scientist. Will there be any actual consequences for what they did to Soundwave? With Ratbats threat to file.

Thank you so much!!!! I don't want to shy away from difficult or complicated topics, but I don't want to come across as preachy or disingenuous. I never want to portray a side as explicitly right or wrong, but I also don't want each/all sides to seem like they have equal merit when they don't. I think presenting these things through the lens of real-feeling people, characters who are grounded, has helped writing-wise and in my own understanding of certain topics. I'm glad my efforts in empathy have paid off! It makes my heart happy to hear I've made someone else feel seen. <3

XD Things will eventually be fine. Shockwave isn't having a good time carrying mainly because he's never done it before, so all these sensations are new and unavoidable. He'll do better when he has distractions and remembers how to delete/ignore aches and pains. As for the prison aspect...stay tuned ;) But yes, Ratbat is Soundwave's last cassette. Though, I'll say for hope's sake that he isn't the last cassette in the WaveFam. Think I mentioned somewhere about Soundwave's host frametype being genetic... ;)

Shockwave being Shockwave ranges from endlessly amusing to bizarrely romantic to endearing. Him being protective over such a massive breach in their privacy (what is Soundwave's is his) is only logical. As for consequences, kind of. This event and Ratbat's threat of action have put most trials on hold as the Autobots reevaluate themselves and their goals here. Add in the election and other events to come next chapter, this was just one of many issues the Autobot characters are having to reckon with.

yes... Yes... YES. I've done a Percy TFP sketch concept like a year ago along with Blaster, Elita & Sunstriker with Sideswipe, but since he lost a poll, I had to let him sleep in my folders (except for that cameo doing avatar for my beloved GF), and since I'm drowning in other things to do i never had a good excuse to actually finish him .
