Does Age Negate The "Hottie" Factor?

This was in my feed this morning and at first I was just going to reblog it because I found it so amusing. Then, I thought about it a little more (after only one cup of coffee, no less!) and decided that I wanted to say more about it. Here's the original post:

Here are my thoughts...

The person who asked this question is a 19 year old girl and I suppose that I felt pretty much the same way that she does when I was her age. I'm 52 and the hubbs is 54 (about to be 55) and I still think he's a total hottie. Could be due to the fact that he really doesn't "look his age", but then again, I think Sean Connery is still a seriously attractive man and he's like 80-something, right?

I find several older men attractive, actually. Maybe I'm way off base with this idea, but if you believe at some point in your life that someone is an attractive person, then they're probably always gonna be an attractive person to you. I mean, it makes sense to me, anyway. Especially if you're truly, madly, deeply in love with them. (we're back to the hubster here, btw) So... What do you think about her question?

Wasn't even aware of this project before I saw this. Great song and an even greater message! Our daughter married the love of her life last summer, at one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever had the honor of being a part of. (and that isn't just because I'm her mom) Noone saw gender that day, or orientation, or cared about who wore the dress and who didn't. They only saw love... love between two amazing people that just happened to also be two amazing women. No child should ever have to be afraid to tell their family who they are, or who they love. Any project that promotes equality, tolerance and love has my support!
