He doesn’t believe he’s good enough for Mike and doesn’t even consider that he could be like her, because El is his girlfriend. And in any case, he’s probably not familiar with bisexuality.

Are we forgetting that Robin also thought Vickie was straight?

For everyone saying that the scene makes no sense: I agree, because I would have preferred to see it at another moment. However, Will didn’t do it on his own initiative, he did it out of fear and to fight Vecna.

You can clearly see that healthy couples can be created, like Lumax or Jancy, who despite their problems, have managed to redirect their relationships. That doesn’t happen with Mileven.

“It was just a crush.” Obviously not, Will. It’s your first love. He just wants to accept its ending before defeating Vecna, as if he were giving up. He accepts himself, but he doesn’t love himself. And when you don’t love yourself, it’s very hard to think that someone else could.

If all of this has been queerbaiting, I’m honestly disgusted. But why would you make a gay main character just to mess with him? That’s something only a homophobic person would do. And judging by Robin and Vickie’s relationship, that’s not the case.
