Different songs have different effects on me. Some songs make me recall a specific memory, others trigger a certain mood. When listening to “Seasons of Love” from the Broadway musical Rent, I visualize a montage of events, so I wanted to see if I could create a storyboard animatic with many characters, yet no apparent main character, traveling through both dreamlike and realistic moments, and reminding us to focus on the beautiful things in life.
