imagine the 'Black madness' is actually just what happens when a Black is pushed too far that they kind of go mad trying to fit these perfect little boxes. I mean it can happen where people that are pushed from such a young age through life can have almost a break from reality. With the people disowned maybe they go a little wild, or reality breaks for a short time from having too much freedom given all at once depending how trapped they were. And the reason why its called the Black madness is almost like a warning for 'stepping out of line' when in reality, staying in line makes you closer to insanity. And the people that are disowned realize what the madness truly is but its too late because whoever is still stuck in the family is out of contact.

Barty would be the one who loves having everyone know that Regulus is taken by him. This comes out through hickeys, calling Regulus 'mine' or his husband when they are engaged. But also I personally think Barty would give Regulus a promise ring sometime while they are dating, an engagement ring AND a wedding ring. And no way are any of them traditional, no diamond or plain band no each one is probably worth thousands of galleons. And Regulus claims he finds it corny yet he wears each one even years into the marriage.

its my last day with the kitten and sudden I am hit with wanting to write more of the Pretty Princess Regulus fic so maybe before the month ends I can finish a chapter.

I love the idea of Marauders having nicknames for each other based off their animagus (and werewolf) forms. Meanwhile you got the Slytherin Skittles who call each other by their own names because what is funner than someone asking "where's Evan?" and Barty just pulls out a giant fucking taragula.

I got a question, so what animals do you think the Slytherin Skittles would be if they were animagi? like I know some say Regulus would be a black cat, or Barty a raccoon but are there more animals people think work? Oooh and when I talk about Slytherin Skittles I am adding Xenophilius because I truely have no idea what Xeno would be and I haven't seen anyone give a headcanon.

Regulus who is short but has an unblinking glare that makes you uncomfortable. In truth there are only three reasons why he is glaring, he hates you but was raised to hold his tongue, he is spaced out not really thinking and you are just the unfortunate soul that is in his line of sight, and lastly he is too overwhelmed so he hopes glaring will keep people away because he does not want to be talked to. Only very few know the difference between all three.

Regulus who is in love with Barty yet at the same time knows he is nothing like Barty’s type. He isn’t wild he isn’t bold so he instead gets Evan paired with Barty so at least Barty is with someone Regulus trusts.

Sirius who gets smaller tattoos all over that they cover up his limbs as they grow, some funny, some he found cool, some meaningful. Regulus who has very few tattoos but each one is large and beautiful designed that he was likely under the needle for a long while (probably fell asleep).

Sirius and Regulus who both were 'perfect' as children, clothes always wrinkled free, sat aside at family gatherings. Sirius was annoyed most of the time and Regulus was trying not to scratch the shit at his skin. Growing up at Hogwarts Sirius gets looser, Muggle band shirts, leather jacket, hair growing out and it all got more bold when he ran away. While Regulus learned to remain perfect, combed smooth hair cut short, face plain, yet still trying to fight the itch this time not at the texture of his clothes but the freedom he craves. And during the war as Sirius became more sunken, there was no time for dress up instead ties his hair back throws on some clothes and gets to an Order meeting or whatever raid is going on. While Regulus devors freedom too quickly his style is a mess, hair growing out and frizzy, wearing flowy clothes so they didn't cling to his skin. The Blacks and their freedom.
