As a Max fan I have to admit it’s sometimes quite hard to grasp just how great Max is. Like, of course I know (and will talk endlessly about it) but he pulls off such feats of greatness as if it’s a casual Tuesday that the reality of it doesn’t always fully sink in.

Just look at Brazil 2025. Pitlane to podium. Would be career highlight for most drivers. For Max? Not even his best drive at that one specific track!

Objectively I know that Max being 3rd in the all time win list only behind Lewis and Michael is freaking insane. Objectively I know that 71 career wins is sheer greatness. Objectively I know all of that.

It somehow still has me in absolute awe when I compare it to the other drivers on the grid. Because with the exception of the other world champions no one else is even in the double digits when we’re talking wins. In fact, Max has more wins in a single season than everyone besides Lewis & Fernando have in their careers! And that is for both 2022 AND 2023.

It quite literally goes:

Max ‘23: 19 wins

Max ‘22: 15 wins

Lando career: 11 wins

Oscar career: 9 wins

Charles career: 8 wins

George career: 5 wins

The 2023 season alone would make Max the 18th most winning driver in Formula 1 history right behind Mika Häkkinen! We’re talking about a single season here!

There is absolutely no one like Max and there likely never will be again! Simply no comparison.
