trio in my angsty highschool au (plus an Edie warm up I was proud of) 😛😛
Hubert in my head is the most awkward loser goth ever who sticks to Edie’s hip like it’s a full time job. He influences her style a bit/inspires her to dress less in a manner where she’s showing her authority (as class president). He tries to pretend he doesn’t care he’s scary, that’s why he amps it up but he very much does.
Edie kicks everyone’s ass in debate (which ferdie is so jealous of and thinks he’s on her level. She seems like she has everything put together but often doesn’t allow herself to relax . Partially popular, she keeps her distance from the annoying pop girls in favor of Hubert (and later ferd) as she hates shallowness.
Ferdie is a key football player but feels very out of place among the team, of which exclude him frequently since he’s so earnest and a bit much. He’s also a history nerd and loves debate but can’t really express it around the guys, drawing him to edie. He’s also really thinks he’s on her level, which bothers Hubert more than her so they fight as usual.
They only start bonding end of high school, but really get close during college ;D
