Say her name. This is 16 year-old Nika Shakarami, who was murdered by the Butcher of Tehran, Ebrahim Raisi in 2022.
Raisi met the mountain yesterday, and lost. Iranians all over the world are justifiably celebrating this event, including fireworks displays.
There are 72 more - very unhappy virgins.
Nika Shakarami's blood called out and Allah finally answered
i think the world doesn’t know what it really means to live in a theocratic dictatorship. Let me tell you about our experiences living in the islamic regime of iran.
1. Your parents were born to muslim parents so they’re automatically muslim. You’re automatically a muslim too. You didn’t choose your religion and you can’t opt out of it or you will be executed.
2. The compulsory hijab law makes you a criminal if you choose not to wear hijab even tho you didn’t choose to be a muslim and you don’t consider yourself a muslim but the regime has forced you into that role whether you like it or not. And when you ‘break that law’, they can do with you as they please.
3. little girls as young as 7 yrs old are forced to wear hijab at school even tho the islam itself says the age is 9. and all the schools are gender segregated so imagine how they force you to get used to hijab even when you’re just surrounded by other girls. And all day long at school they tell you horrible stories about what will happen to you in hell if someone sees even a strand of your hair.
4. the regime modifies all the textbooks, story books, cartoons and movies to represent the ideal woman with full on hijab. The iranian media is ordered to photoshop every photo of a woman that may be showing a little skin. And if they’re iranian, no hair is supposed to be seen or that will be photoshopped away. Women are mostly excluded from billboards and tv commercials.
5. imagine going to work or meeting up with a friend when suddenly the morality police kidnap you in broad daylight and force you into a van to take you to a station where they will treat you like a criminal and if you don’t agree to get humiliated and do as they say, they will put you in prison. And in case of Mahsa Amini and so many more before her, they will beat you to death. My sister was barely 18 when she got kidnapped and they didn’t let her call home and she’d been so fucking scared and we had no idea where she was. Imagine all the psychological trauma.
6. If you’re in a car and not wearing hijab they will fine you and seize your car. So when u get into a taxi the driver will ask you to keep your hijab on otherwise they’ll get fined. And if you refuse they’ll ask you to get off the car.
7. And its not just about hijab. In Ramadan, they get even more vicious. If they catch you eating or even drinking water on the street they will give you lashes as punishment and even imprison you for breaking the law. If you work in a state-owned company it’s even worse. They will close the cafeteria and take away the water dispensers. All restaurants are banned from delivering food before iftar. It’s a fucking mess. Everyone has to pretend they’re fasting or they’ll be severely punished.
8. And how could I forget about this! iranian women are banned from singing! the islamic regime prohibits women’s singing voices to be heard by men so imagine the horror of having 50% of the population banned from ever becoming a singer. If they identify a female singer in iran, they will take her to jail and force her to repent her sins in the most humiliating way so that she will never dare sing again.
9. And every time the regime gets wind of a private gathering of men and women trying to have fun and live their fucking private lives, the police crash the party and take everyone to jail bc the Islamic regime bans iranian men and women from having fun.
10. Did you know that the islamic regime doesn’t allow women’s faces to be printed on their obituaries or headstones? They put a flower for our faces instead and if they see a headstone with a woman’s face printed on it they’ll smash it to pieces. That’s how religious dictatorship continues to oppress and erase women even after their deaths.
11. For some reason, women aren’t allowed to ride motorcycles and the government won’t issue any license for them. In some cities, women are barred from riding a bicycle.
So if you see Islam has become for many iranians a symbol of oppression and torture and discrimination, that’s why. The regime uses islam as a weapon to silence and punish anyone who opposes them. You can love islam all you want from the safety of your home in a free country and talk about how kind and benevolent the religion is, but in iran, it’s a whole different story.
Our economy is fucked. All govt officials are corrupt as fuck. Most websites are banned in iran. Even tumblr is banned. The world has cut the iranian ppl from many services. We don’t have intl credit cards like visa card. Amazon doesn’t do delivery to iran. We cant get netflix, spotify or even a gamepass subscription. we don’t get any Apple services here. iran isn’t listed as a country you could choose when signing up for a lot of services. and when we decide to leave iran and escape this hellhole, every country out there will make it sooo much harder for us to get a visa just bc we had the misfortune to be born in iran at the wrong time.
This is the story of iran for the past 44 years. Held hostage by a corrupt regime that uses religion to suppress and torture the people and being abandoned by the rest of the world bc our lives don’t matter.
Please be our voice. Once they shut down the internet completely and silence our voice, they will start slaughtering us to stifle the protests just like they did in 2019. Please help us. We want this fucking regime gone.
^^Everyone should read this before talking about Iran and islamic "repooplic"
Oh and i should add:
This corrupt fuck of a regime has been destroying our country's culture and resources for 45 years!
They have been destroying forests to build luxurious villas for themselves. They literally dried up lake Urmia and the Zayanderood river with their lack of management
The actions of the islamic republic led to the demise of the last Persian cheetah in Iran, named Pirooz. The species is critically endangered
Our historical landmarks are slowly decaying because this anti iranian regime just doesn't care about Iran's culture
We suffer from serious water shortage especially poor provinces like Balouchistan because the mullahs keep drying up the lakes
And don't get me started on how they are destroying our culture. We barely celebrate our many Persian traditions. Islamic republic has always been trying to "islamize" Iran, meaning the want to erase our Persian culture. They have been trying for years to "modify" or just remove our celebration of the persian new year Nowrooz.
This year the mullahs literally BANNED everyone from celebrating "sizdeh be dar", our ancient tradition of hanging out with family on the 13th day of the new year. They closed up all the parks, cafes and restaurants to prevent people from going out! Can you imagine how FUCKED UP this is???
This is why we say مرگ بر جمهوری اسلامی
Raisi is dead. May his friends join him.

The president of Iran might be dead.
Good.
Shortly after October 7, Susan Sarandon gave a speech saying that she wanted Jews to be afraid again. She's currently supporting the Columbia University Nazis. Roger Waters denied that October 7 happened and railed against Bono for observing a moment of silence for Hamas' victims. Eric Clapton, racist shitbird, is receiving praise from the leftists who are cool with his racism and conspiracy babbling as long as he talks shit about Israel.

I am a zionist.
If you don't like it, die angry.
My mother graduated and then taught at Barnard for over 20 years. We have been donating to the Columbia institution for almost 30 years. And today my mother called and requested an appointment with the President so she could tell her, to her face, what an absolute farce the institution has become and that we’re pulling all of our funding.
The Jews are in our ✨FAFO era✨ and I couldn’t be prouder.
(If you’re not watching what’s going on at American universities, and specifically at ivy leagues, wake tf up.)
Seriously fuck.those Columbia University nazis
URGENT: Yesterday Iranian volleyball player Mobina Rostami, bravely spoke out against the regime's attack on Israel.
"As an Iranian, I am truly ashamed of the regime's attack on Israel, but you need to know that the people in Iran love Israel and hate the Islamic Republic."
Not long after her home was raided, she was arrested and taken away to an undisclosed location, her social media accounts were shut down, and she has not been heard from since.
The silence surrounding her whereabouts is concerning, and we can only imagine the horrors she may be enduring for standing up against a brutal regime.
It's crucial to SHARE Mobina's story and refuse to let Iran silence voices advocating for tolerance and peace.

Naked Priests! Happy Purim!!!!
Before I turned off my phone for Simchat Torah, Bluesky was a great app, an oasis from the drama of Facebook and Twitter. When I turned it back on, Bluesky had become a cheering section for mass murder and rape.

"Private Rituals" by Dorothy Allison (High Risk)
Yeesh
There are two facts of sexuality
People get sexual feelings much earlier than anyone would like to admit. Forget about puberty, there's definitely a great deal of obsession and curiosity during childhood.
We need to protect children and teenagers from predators who can groom and molest them.
The second one is pretty easy to accept. At least in our society. In other cultures, there was a lot of pederasty and open lusting after children. Or at very least teenagers. I know that when I was 11, I was very horny for my neighbor that I babysat for. Had she decided to be creepy and fucked me, I would not have had a problem with that. In fact I even wrote "I want to fuck Patty" on a slip of paper. Sadly my mom found it and wouldn't let me forget it (seriously, that woman had NO respect for boundaries. Minor miracle she didn't call out what I was doing when I locked the bathroom).
Either way, it's a good thing that Patty never fucked me. That would have been a power imbalance that I don't think I could have recovered from.
But there's a serious undercurrent running through our society. One that we clamp down. One that we don't like to talk about. Predators and molesters know it and they exploit it. They even use our disgust with it as a cover. Oh sure, we might all agree that it's horrible and even talk about wanting to castrate pedophiles. And that makes it even harder to spot them.
Oh no, obviously those pedophiles are out in the world creeping on children, but not Jimmy. Jimmy would NEVER do that. Jimmy loves kids. Oh sure, Jimmy keeps making all these jokes about it, but that's just Jimmy having fun.
Years pass and suddenly we find out that Jimmy has been raping kids for decades and he died peacefully in his sleep. And no one cares.
Then there's where we go to the opposite extreme. I'm not terribly excited with the ways that we made Anne Frank into a secular saint, the cute little Jewish teenager who said that everyone was good at heart and tacitly forgave everyone who murdered her. That's definitely not her diary. She hated Germans. She hated living in that fucking attic and she only wanted to believe people were good at heart because the alternative was to fucking hate the entire world. She even says that.
She also says that she gets excited looking at naked women. So yes, Anne Frank was bisexual. She was 15 when she died and in her early teen years when she wrote about being horny for women, but she could make up her own fucking mind about it. Screaming "DON'T SEXUALIZE CHILDREN" at LGBT people who can relate to Anne in her teen years might make you feel good. Might even make the whole "Anne Frank was bisexual" conversation avoid you for a time.
But it's fucking dishonest. Granted, some of those people screaming that are Ace and have no experience feeling horny for anyone in their teen years, but those of us who also got horny for naked women in our teen years find it a little weird that there's a contingent of people who want to pretend that sexuality begins at age 18 (maybe 16) and before then it's nothing and suggesting anything else is child molestation.
There's a major spectrum between Piers Anthony/Countdown to 18 creeps and policing anyone for admitting to sexual thoughts before their 16th birthday.
So that's a really long introduction for a creepy ass story that Dorothy Allison begins by talking about how her sister and her were both masturbating when they were 8. Like she figured out that her sister was masturbating (and wearing their mother's underwear like a hat when she did it) and then wondered if her sister openly did it when alone.
Then there's her stepfather who keeps spanking her, because he gets off on it. She knows that he gets off on it. Eventually he starts fucking her. She reports this without tears, just like it's one of the fucked up sexual things that happened to her. She depicts her childhood as a series of orgasms and creepy dudes who want to have orgasms on her.
Her uncle also dry humps her. Also she finally tells someone about her stepfather and her uncles beat him up. Only that doesn't really help. Her mother just goes back to him and that's that.
This is a brilliantly written piece that squicked me out. When I was a child, I read Piers Anthony and didn't see much of a problem with his pedophile writings because I was young myself. Lusting after a 14 year old girl doesn't seem wrong when you are a 13 year old boy. When you're an adult man, it feels very creepy.
I might read Dorothy Allison's book. I hear it's good but also I hope it doesn't have horny 8 year old girls in it. I really don't want to read about horny 8 year old girls.
Job Chapter 28
Wisdom
I feel like Job is going to contradict this statement
And he said to the human race, “The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.”
The rest of this chapter is rather beautiful. Where does wisdom come from. Iyov really goes into a major discourse on how humanity digs into the earth for all the metals, all the diamonds. Food comes from the ground.
It sounds like a very humanist chapter. Like Job is praising humanity for being able to find sapphires, grow food and dig into the earth.
But wisdom? How the fuck do you find that? It's not like you can just go exploring. It's not in the ocean. It's not in the sea. You can't buy it. "A pouch of wisdom is better than rubies."
It's an interesting question since there's an entire book of the Bible dedicated to the aphorisms of the society (Proverbs) and then a book of wisdom when you understand that life isn't about all the nice sayings (Qoheleth). And of course, the section of the Bible (Tanakh) is calls Kethuvim so all of it is considered Wisdom (basically Wisdom is everything that isn't Torah or Prophets. Prophets is history plus the Prophetic works - major and minor).
And unlike in Dungeons & Dragons, intelligence and wisdom tend to be inversely proportional. Grow up gifted and you think you know everything. That is the opposite of wisdom.
But yeah, G-d makes rain and wisdom. G-d knows everything, so fear G-d. What does that mean on a symbolic level? Fear everything or fear whatever makes the rain and the waters.
Fear G-d. Because G-d is beyond the rest. If you fear G-d, you don't have to fear anything else - not fire, murder or zombies. G-d is running things.
Also, it's ironic in the context of this book since G-d can always fuck with you, so you better fear g-d.
