guy who definitely doesn't blame himself for anything or has self-destructive tendencies
Updated Azul Facts Part 71: Consultations (pt2)
Leona explains, “The guy who wants something outta a deal is always the one at a disadvantage. That’s Negotiating 101,” and says that “Azul makes very carefully worded offers…the only way to win against Azul is to not make a contract at all.”
Azul loses all his contracts in Book 3, but in Book 4 he claims—while pretending to be hypnotized by Jamil—that he remembers all the secrets of those with whom he has contracted, including the one thing that Crowley would never want others to learn. As he was possibly telling Jamil what he wanted to hear at the time, it is a little unclear how accurate this information is.
We see how Azul runs his consultation services in Book 3: someone who defaulted on a contract and then refuses his summons is brought in to the lounge and forced into confessing by Jade, then attacked by Floyd.
Over 200 students who failed to fulfill the terms of their contracts gather in Mostro Lounge, where Azul explains, “You made a bet with me, and subsequently lost. As per the terms of our contract, you are to devote yourselves to my service until such time as you graduate.”
Ruggie estimates that Azul had collected “around five to six hundred” contracts by the end of Book 3, while Leona guesses that Azul had “probably been trapping people in contracts and stockpiling ’em since long before he enrolled” at NRC.
Updated Azul Facts Part 69: Mostro Lounge (pt9)
When Azul’s tsum appears during the next Tsumsted event he has it sign a contract to work at Mostro Lounge which proves extremely profitable, with the tsum’s tactics resulting in the lounge quintupling its usual sales.
As a result Jade and Floyd suggest overthrowing Azul as owner of the lounge and instituting the more successful tsum, instead.
(Azul: “I do NOT approve of its gauche, pushy sales tactics.” – Jade: “The fact remains that it’s getting better sales numbers.”)
Azul then challenges the tsum to a competition for ownership of Mostro Lounge, refusing any help from Jade and Floyd to prove that he is the only one fit to run it. His strategy—giving customers a place to view the tsum from afar without it pressuring them into spending money—is a success.
Azul explains,
“People come to the Mostro Lounge for a quality experience. Something more extraordinary than the everyday. Exciting gimmicks are certainly appealing to some customers, but not for an extended amount of time. Ultimately, what our customers want is a place to relax.”
Jade concedes defeat, saying, “I should have known better than to doubt Azul’s skills,” and Azul responds, “The Mostro Lounge is all I think about. Challenging me on my own turf was beyond reckless.”
On the first day of the Diner event Azul arrives at the restaurant early, telling Lilia, "I was taking a walk around to see what other stores and establishments were in the area. Even for a simple three-day job, researching the surrounding environment is essential for running a restaurant," and when Cater fails to appear on time Azul suggests that he is not late, but "simply doing his job as a manager."
Azul is proven to be correct, with Cater soon explaining that he had gone in early to go over appliances, recipes and more.
Azul says, "I can cover any role. Feel free to assign me to the front, or odd jobs like loading stock, or anything else as you see fit," and as the most experienced of the group with food service Cater asks him to do support work such as preparation, dishwashing, bringing in ingredients and they arrive and covering the register.
Azul’s wish for the Starsending event is “For the Mostro Lounge to flourish more than ever before,” and during Spectral Soiree Jade confirms that Azul is no longer possessed by asking him about the lounge’s earnings from the previous night (Azul: “Revenue or gross profit?” – Jade: “All right, it’s him”).
Jade says that, “I’ll keep growing the Mostro Lounge, and one day surpass my mother’s restaurant” was practically a catchphrase of Azul’s.
Despite saying that the lounge is all he thinks about, however, when Jade says that Azul is attached to the lounge, Azul denies it: “Do you honestly think me capable of such an illogical sentiment as ‘attachment?’ It’s profitable and allows me to gather information inside the school. That is why the Lounge is important to me.” Jade is unconvinced.

pink shinies
Updated Azul Facts Part 66: Mostro Lounge (pt6)
Jade says that he works as a waiter at Mostro Lounge, but he seems to cover a wide variety of tasks: supervising staff, submitting recipes, doing opening prep, and cooking.
He also provides mushrooms that he cultivates himself to be used as ingredients in the lounge’s cuisine, but after two weeks of “mushroom mania” Azul refuses to accept any more, saying, “I cannot allow you to bore Mostro Lounge’s patrons with endless repetition.” (Azul explains that the lounge provides seasonal offerings, and, “Ingredients are much cheaper when you buy them in-season, you see.”)
Floyd will mention having to cook at Mostro Lounge and he is also seen acting as a waiter. Azul says he “cannot recommend Jade and Floyd’s cooking enough.”
Deuce and Grim both work at Mostro Lounge in Book 3, along with Ace, who waits tables and goes on grocery runs, and during Tapis Rouge he offers to work shifts in order to earn money to buy a blazer, which Azul accepts (“I expect I’ll get my money’s worth out of you”).
Ruggie is seen working at Mostro Lounge both in a vignette and in the Main Story, while Jack also temporarily works at Mostro Lounge in a vignette where he exceeds Azul’s expectations.
Azul has been seen offering a job at the lounge to Jack and Jamil, but both refused.

One year ago today on July 9, 2025, Azul's character song was released! 🐙
It has since earned 2.3 million views.
Comments on the song from music composer Ozawa Takumi here:
For Episode #34 of Twisted Radio Station Ruggie’s VA Ichikawa Aoi (🍩) interviewed Twisted Wonderland’s music composer Ozawa Takumi about the
This was our problem song. Out of all of them. It was the most unexpected? The most “outside the box” song, I think. “That Azul, singing THIS song?” But to me personally this song is, “You’re the star!”

8ch3 spoilers! Slowly doodling some scenes I like
This has been my main argument against "AI" from the very beginning.
OpenAI scraped the entire web. All of which had been a labor of love from humans. Wikipedia is the backbone of a lot of LLMs, and that was volunteer human labor. They stole it and now they're selling it back to us.
And worse, they're trying to destroy the free sources that they stole from. It's destruction of human knowledge on an unprecedented scale. The burning of the library of Alexandria has nothing on this.
But this is the story of capitalism from the tragedy of the commons onwards. Please read what Shoshanna Zuboff says about this era what she calls surveillance capitalism.
