Welcome to MattJay Week 2026! (5 July - 11 July)
Firstly, I hope I am not stepping on anybody’s toes. I know I’m relatively new to the fandom, but I don’t believe I’d seen anything planned yet for 2026, so I thought I’d throw something together! Thanks to everybody who took a look at this.
Some people love open-ended prompts, others love a trope, some want to go buck wild. I love all of that for everybody, so I concocted the above graphic.
You do NOT have to do all three of those things in one day— think of it like a buffet! (…friendship is the greatest treasure…)
You pick what you want, how you want to do it, and then go for it!
Whether you draw, paint, collage, gif, sew, write, edit fan videos, make mood boards, use candy to create portraits, compile playlists, crochet, webweave, code, animate and so on, it’s all welcome!
The point is to create, connect and have fun with the chaos of it all!
You interpret the prompts how you want and post what you want.
Tag your works appropriately so people know what to expect
Be respectful toward one another both in the fandom and of Matt and Jay, and anybody associated with them
Use the tag “MattJay Week 2026” if you want to have things show up in the tag!
Other than that, I’m excited to see what people create! Nothing like a good feeling… :)
