You're late for tea!

“Jeez, you must be insane or somethin’.” Bonnie mumbled, trying to ignore the stranger.

“Yep. That about sums it up.” March smiled cheekily, nodding his head enthusiastically.

“Can’t stop a good feeling and that is all I feel in October. Hopefully you’ll like them.”

“Does it happen every October? March questioned with a small tilt of his head.

“Can’t stop a good feeling and that is all I feel in October. Hopefully you’ll like them.”

“October? Why? that’s an odd time to be feeling good.”

“I don’t know. Are you?”

“Of course not!”

“I guess you were right on the mark then.” 

Of course I was!” March spoke smugly. “What are you distracted by anyhow?”

“Are you cracking jokes at me, wise guy?”

“The only thing I crack is eggs.” March shrugged, “And I only do that ‘cause it’s part of my job.”

“You would be doing a job you actually like?” 

“That’s where you’re wrong, my boy. I’ve been around long enough to know that there really isn’t a job out there that I’d actually like.”

“So what have you done more awful than this?”

“Well, I’d tell you, but then I’d have to kill you.”

“I teach public relations. Nothing too extravagant, but it’s simple and easy. At least to me. I’m sure if you ask my students, they probably have no idea what they’re doing.” The woman grinned at his compliment. “Why thank you, and it’s Miss. I’m not married and I probably never will be.” She shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. “I’ve only been here for about a week or so. Yourself, Mr. O’Hare?”

“Public relations.” March murmured as if to save the information for later. “That certainly sounds like something that I would not be very good at. Which is saying something, because I like to think that I’m good at a great amount of things.” He nodded as if to confirm his point, a wide smile on his face. “Ah, I can certainly get behind that mindset. Marriage is so....marriage-y. I can’t imagine being stuck with someone for the rest of my life. The very idea is enough to make me sick.” He made a disgusted face to emphasize his words. “Only a week? Wow. And you seem to have the school figured out already! Which is quite impressive, I may add. As for me well...” March paused to ponder just how long he’d been here. “About 37 months! Or, 3 years and a month if you prefer. Much too long, nonetheless.”

“I wouldn’t say I have all the answers, I simply just understand how somethings work”

“They are. I stand up there for hours trying to teach them about the major they chose and most of them don’t even seem to care. If you’re not going to bother listening to the lesson, get out. Don’t waste my time.” She rolled her eyes. She gave a slight nod of her head in agreement and then smiled slightly when he introduced himself. However, as he bowed, her smile turned into a wide grin. “A pleasure to meet you Mr. O’Hare. My name is Maleficent Lemures.”

Bo stayed still under his gaze, wondering what was going through his mind; she wasn’t sure yet if he wanted to help, tell her off or who knows, maybe both. Her first option seemed to be discarded once he continued speaking. “I’m not a thief, I can assure you that. No, no, no, I’m neither of those. I’d like to suggest a “very clever innocent woman” instead, but I guess it wasn’t a clever move at all to go and try to force the door. Even so, that’s the first thing anybody else in my place would have done, right? Check if it’s just stuck” She explained, sending an accusatory look at the door before looking back at him with disbelief. “What? You just offered to give me some advice though” Now it was her turn to be all confused.

“Yikes. Glad I’m not doing that. Sounds like tedious work.”

“It most certainly is! There are few things I’ve done in my life more awful than this.”
