Brooklyn, we fell in love with you.

What a beautiful City. We were supposed to be here for an afternoon and we spent 2 complete days. Céleste and I are fans of independent coffee shops, bars, breweries and clothing. Before we leave, I always make a search about those things and usually save it in my google maps. The first stop was Devocion Café. It was such a beautiful place but unfortunately, there was no more space inside. We took our coffee and continued exploring the beautiful artistic neighbourhood of Williamsburg. As you can see, I just follow her <3

She is so easy to photograph. We really enjoyed walking, taking pictures and being tourists.

Later that afternoon we went to the Brooklyn Flea Market where you can find pretty much anything vintage. A lot of handcrafts art, jewelry and clothes were available for purchase. Céleste bought this “Archie” necklace. I really recommend to give it a shot, there is so much to see and really good food trucks on site. 

One of the breweries I found was Brooklyn Brewery. The beer was good, the vibe was nice, you can see it’s a popular attraction for tourist. The beer was very refreshing on this hot day. I took their Bel Air Sour and Defender IPA. Their sour was very light and IPA hoppy but not bitter. Céleste tried their Brooklyn Lager and she liked it.

The next morning we went to Toby’s Estate Coffee shop. We both took a cold brew. I took a nitro cold brew and it was absolutely smooth and tasty. Céleste took a classic cold brew with a bit of soy milk. She also had a breakfast sandwich which she loved. We had the pleasure of savouring our coffee un their beautiful shop. I really recommend you check it out if you like coffee shops.

Our last stop was the Other Half Brewery. They had soooo many different beers to try. I took the MMM…FRUIT PINK GUAVA, this beer was out of this world. So refreshing, tarty and balanced. I feel lucky to travel with the love of my life, my best friend. Hope you enjoy this <3

This summer I got the chance to visit Manhattan & Brooklyn with the love of my life. It was Céleste’s first time visiting. We obviously started out with a subway ride to Timesquare. Lights and billboard will never cease to amaze me, in a way, I really admire all the effort and artistic choices that are made for publicity by the graphic designers. We walked around, took some pictures and went for a few drinks. 

The next morning, we walked from our Air B&B to central park. The contrast of this big green environment in the heart of a crowded city is very important and was eye-opening to me. (We spent 2 days in Brooklyn there will be a second blog for this part).

 We finished our Vacation at the Barcade in Timesquare. My girlfriend is amazing at video games (better than me) and I think she likes playing them as much as I do. Every game was 0.50$ to play and some of the best arcade retro games were there. We spent most of our time playing Teenage Ninja Turtles Turtles In Time. I can’t wait to pursue my travel memories with her, thanks for everything.
