Above all else, she must be fuckable and (conventionally) attractive and young. The younger the better (in their eyes). If she's sexy in some way and/or sexualized then she will be beloved (ex: Bayonetta, Lara Croft). This will heavily affect overall perception of her.

Her sexuality being anything than straight might deter some men, who will accuse the game of trying to be "political and spreading "propaganda". However, it might attract or be of no consequence to some men who will sexualize her further for her sexuality or ignore her canon sexuality altogether as seen from fan content produced & enjoyed by them (ex: Ellie from tlou & Clementine from twdg & Tracer from Overwatch, Max from Life is Strange)

It is considered more acceptable if we play the female character for a smaller portion of the game versus the other, male character we primarily play as, especially if she is the daughter or daughter figure of the main male character. (ex: Ellie tlou, Ciri from the Witcher, Ada Wong from RE)

However, if she gets her own game, spinoff, or DLC that centers on her own adventure, there is a higher chance of outrage and sudden hatred of her character. If she was not called so before, she will now be called: ugly, unrealistic, annoying, a bitch, whiny, and worse. (Ex: Faye from God of War, Kassandra from Assassin's Creed, Atsu from Ghost of Yotei, Ciri from The Witcher, Rosemary from RE8)

If she is not White, and/or any combination of failing to meet the standards above, there is a higher chance of hatred. However, if she has some proximity to Whiteness, then she will be more accepted. (Atsu GoY, Angrboda from God of War, Lucia from GTA 6)

I'm hyper focused on rent. Especially after some fatigue spells after a ptsd episode.
