Till All Are One

Sitting in the dentist’s waiting room today, I saw a pretty girl. Tall, cute blueish dress with some kind of diamond pattern, and some really nice ankle bracelets.

Normally, I am dead shy and would never approach a stranger, but after sitting there for about 20 minutes, I finally decided to take a chance.

Walked over, sat down so there was one chair between us, said, “Hi, I like your anklets. Did you make them?”

She said no, and we talked for a few minutes. She seemed kinda interested, and it felt good to see her smile and laugh at something I said.

We weren’t talking long before my name was called. She said it was nice talking to you, and I agreed, then said, “In case you’re not here when I come out, may I have your number?” She said yes. I got out my phone and she said, “Here, I’ll put it in for you.”

I said thank you and we shook hands.

I texted her from the dentist chair, as the assistant was setting up, asking if she wanted to talk some more, either later today or this weekend. She has yet to reply and it’s been 3 hours. I just called a few minutes ago and got a message saying, “this user has not set up a voicemail account”.

So, yeah. Not sure what to think, but trying to remain hopeful, or at least neutral*. I’m not as devastated as I would normally be in this situation, just a bit disappointed.
