Protector of Time

"Never," as if she only just noticed the ground far below.

He has lots of names. Most people recognize his Jewish name, Yahweh, but squint at His foreign names, like Thor. As the god of war, "No other gods" is like a mission statement, and loyalty is the highest virtue for His cause. He is capable and willing to lie because He is patient and determined to shape reality to put Him in the right. If He wrongs someone, He will make sense of the wrongdoing somehow, creatively.

He's not the only "god." He's popular. The way He wages endless undying war gives rational incentive to being on a correct side of His. He chose war by the way, as a natural strength of His immortality. He wanted to be the god of something He was good at, not something He could eventually lose at.

Whether He's "real" is a paradox of language, the natural first lesson for any god of time. Whether He's "good" depends on how plastic your ethical framework is: fear is the byproduct, His "must." Without fear, fun sinks from view, as well as several other hallmark emotions that are propped up by the ever-so-ugly "fear."

Don't act like graduating from Red Devil school is so special, where I'm from hundreds of people my age did so every year.
