i personally feel the most connected to my dr when i’m visualising the most mundane things.

like using the bathroom while having the worst stomachache. tossing and turning uncomfortably in bed. drinking a cold crisp water on a hot day. eating a sandwich as a midday snack. stubbing my toe. getting a brain freeze from eating ice cream. tripping infront of a stranger and acting nonchalant about it. trying to hold in a fart in public. having to say “huh” to someone who’s already repeated themselves three times.

just focusing on the small, silly, painfully ordinary moments of a day.

those moments make it feel real because that’s what life actually is. not constant highlight reels, but quiet, repetitive, everyday actions.

sometimes your dr may feel distant because you’re only visualising the big, exciting moments. and those can feel out of reach, almost like something separate from you. like something you have to get to instead of something you’re already living. that’s why it can start to feel unreal and unattainable.

but when you focus on the boring stuff, it closes that gap. it feels normal. it feels lived in. it feels like you.

remember, your dr isn’t some fantasy land filled with constant exciting scenes (of course it can be, but i’m trying to make a point here).

your dr is just your life at the end of the day. and life mostly consists of these simple, plain moments.

of course, if you enjoy visualising big scenarios or exciting events, do that.

just don’t underestimate how powerful the boring stuff is. it might be what grounds you the most.

That doesn’t mean you’re the problem. That you can never shift or manifest. But look into ways to manage your symptoms, ease your mind, to take care of yourself.
