as much as we love, support and talk about muslims i think a lot of people aren’t educated on this topic so i’m just gonna make a small post. ramadan is in a week so here’s a quick post :)

it’s a month in the muslim holy calendar and muslims take this time of month to fast. that means they do not eat food or drink from sunrise to sunset.

they wake up early in the morning before the sun rises and eat whatever they want, and just before the sun actually starts to rise, that is the deadline. they cannot eat or drink anything else throughout the entire day until it’s sunset. [nope, not even water]

if you know and care about any muslims, please make this month easier for them. please be patient with them as they may be exhausted or tired more often. do not try and ‘tempt’ them into eating or intentionally try show off your food in front of them. it’s just disrespectful.

I’ll make this short. Today a racist idiot burned our car completely. It can only be sold for scrap because the motor, brain and sensors are fried.

We’re a family of black latine immigrants. we did not get any stimulus checks. I was forced to drop out cause I can’t pay for college so I’m using my shop to sustain my family, and without a car this is just so, so much more difficult.
