tumblr truths for every time i get the impulse to argue my case or any case for that matter:
i shouldnt have to debate someone who will not engage me in good faith. i shouldn’t have to center people who are on some disillusioned crusade of punching “up”. i shouldn’t have to tolerate being talked down to about my own lived experiences bc the user is an Enlightened Poster.
i will NOT minimize the suffering of any people to soothe a loud asshole with a chip on their shoulder and axe to grind. i will NOT give credence to separatists of any flavor just cus they are marginalized in sort of some way. i will NOT debase myself with idpol wank that just gives way to oppression olympics/ grievance politics 90% of the time.
i will not willfully climb into the discourse woodchipper. i will tumble head first while listening to boy george.
(none of these things are new or unique to tumblr, either. i always block and move on without saying anything cus i pick my battles.. and on this hellsite you really have to choose lol)
