Clues about a fourth, hidden episode. Alright, here are some clues i've gathered that might hint at a fourth episode this Sunday. Some of these (if not most) are pretty far-fetched and maybe not even close to being something of significance, but i still think it's exciting and fun. Please contribute if you have something as well, i'd love to hear more. 1. The most obvious one "People always give up after three". 2. Writer Steven Moffat was asked about the fourth hidden episode in a recent interview in which he responded "It dosen't reflect the fact that there's going to a fourth episode - for heaven's sake, what kind of secrets do you think we're keeping? Let's go home and check. Oh look episode four... the lost special..." The Lost Special is a short story written by Sherlock Holmes creator Arthur Conan Doyle several years after "The Final Problem" which is widely known as a Sherlock story even though the main characters name is never revealed. 3. A new 5-episode series called Apple Tree Yard will take the Sherlock slot this Sunday on BBC. The two main actors are called BEN Chaplin and Emily WATSON (this is where things get kind of tinfoil hat-like, but stay with me) 4. The entire cast of this 5-episode series are ONLY 26 people(!), and looking at these actors roles it seems most of them are just extras. Look on iMDB. Seems off. 5. One of these actors is named Richard Rycroft and he plays someone called "MP". MP is an abbreviation of Member of Parliament which we all know Mycroft Holmes is connected to. This actors profile picture is not available. 6. If you look under the writers section of Apple Tree Yard there are two writers listed, but they're both listed for writing only 1 episode. Usually it says how many writers there are and how many episodes they've written, but i guess there's only been 1 single episode written out of these 5? Weird. 7. Looking at the plot of Apple Tree Yard, it's about a woman named Yvonne Carmichael who lives with two grown up children and starts seeing a stranger. Remember Lady Carmichael from The Abominable Bride who also had two children? 8. Why would BBC put this really uknown series at the absolute best TV-slot in London to replace Sherlock? There's been almost no promotion of it. 9. If you look at the launch trailer off Apple Tree Yard, dosen't it remind you of an Sherlock episode? The way it's shot visually, the environment (yes i know it's also going to take place in in London, but still) and the whole atmosphere seems similar dosen't it? I could definately see this being an Sherlock episode where the woman seek JohnLocks help. 10. This one is extremely far-fetched, but the two writers i mentioned earlier are called Amanda Coe and Louise Doughty. LOUISE Beasly plays Molly in Sherlock, and AMANDA Abbington plays Mary. 11. BBC still haven't released to program schedule for Sunday the 29th. I myself take most of this with a grain of salt, but i can't help myself. Please do share if you have noticed more things.
