In Silk's own opinion, her biggest punishment was becoming sheriff in Boston, and it goes hand in hand with the second part of the question.

Victoire, as she was known long before she reinvented herself, became sheriff of boston in the 19th century, long before the clan itself were part of the sect, and she spent the century under constant scorn of the Tremere. Not only that, but Quentin King himself had become extremely enamored with her and he made many attempts to make her his consort as the decades passed.

Victoire felt suffocated and alone in the court, and her only reprieve was carrying out orders given by King to keep Boston safe. Many kindred and lupines alike have died at her hands, as violence seemed to be the only thing to dull her bitterness. She served the court loyally until she was offered the position of prince in some other town on the East coast.
