“Don’t let the smile fool you - he wants to be the best at everything. I remember when we were playing together in Pittsburgh, in training camp, we had our pre-testing, you go in there and have medicine ball throws from the knees to see how far you can throw them. You get three throws and every guy that beat Sidney Crosby, he’d go back in on his own time and throw more balls. He went and he ended up throwing, the trainers told me, 35+ balls, not for the record, but for his own personal ‘I beat this guy’. He’s so competitive out there.”
