Dialogue Prompts Said at 3am!!
⋆˙⟡ "Are you awake?" - "I am now." - "Good."
⋆˙⟡ "I keep thinking about something you said. Two years ago."
⋆˙⟡ "I don't want to be alone right now."
⋆˙⟡ "Do you ever think about what we could have been?"
⋆˙⟡ "I'm not okay." - "I know." - "How did you know?" - "You called."
⋆˙⟡ "I think I've been lying to myself for a really long time."
⋆˙⟡ "Stay on the line. You don't have to talk."

⋆˙⟡ "I miss you and I don't know what to do with that."
⋆˙⟡ "I should let you sleep." - "Don't hang up yet."
⋆˙⟡ "If I tell you something, do you promise not to make it weird?"

A description of the move:
Two palm strikes to the torso, a quick punch to the gut, another palm strike, then an upward elbow strike to the face. The sequence then repeats very quickly, making the attack look like a rapid, relentless flurry.
How I wrote it:
“The first palm strike landed with a resounding thud, knocking the wind out of the assassin's chest. The second palm strike came almost instantly after, causing the assassin to stumble back further. Espio seized the opportunity and delivered a quick, powerful punch to the assassin's lower gut, doubling them over in pain.
But Espio wasn't finished yet. He spun on his heel and delivered a swift elbow strike to the assassin's temple, sending them reeling. With impressive speed and precision, he continued the pattern of strikes, landing two palm strikes to the chest, followed by a punch to the gut, and an elbow strike to the head, all in quick succession. The assassin was completely overwhelmed, unable to keep up with Espio's lightning-fast movements."
The protector Archetype!!
✮ Standing slightly in front of whoever they love in a crowd without noticing they do it
✮ The threat assessment that runs automatically in every new room they enter
✮ Learning everyone's allergies preferences fears exits on the first meeting just in case
✮ The voice that goes very quiet and very calm when something is actually wrong
✮ Absorbing conflict before it reaches the people they've decided to shield
✮ The violence they are capable of living quietly beside the gentleness they choose
✮ Remembering every person who ever hurt someone they loved with a precision that never fades
✮ Saying I'm fine through injuries that are not fine because worrying people feels worse than pain
✮ The tenderness that exists beneath the armor that only specific people ever get to see
✮ Being the person who stays sober at the party without being asked because someone should
✮ Noticing the shift in someone's energy before they've said a single word about what's wrong
✮ The apology they give for being overprotective that doesn't fully reach the eyes
✮ Carrying the weight of keeping everyone safe and never naming it as a weight
✮ The flaw of loving people in ways that leave no room for them to need anything from anyone else
✮ Fighting for everyone else's right to be soft while never allowing it in themselves
✮ The exhaustion visible only in private when the door is finally closed and no one needs anything
✮ Needing to be needed in a way that is both a gift and a wound
✮ The person who finally protects them back and the way that completely undoes them
✮ Having kept everyone safe for so long they don't know who they are when there's nothing to protect against
✮ Being someone's safe place and never having learned they were allowed to have one too

The pigs in Mississippi just murdered a baby, A BABY! A ONE YEAR OLD INFANT!
Protests erupt in Senatobia after one-year-old Kohen Wiley killed after police responded to report of shoplifting
Even if she HAD stolen the diapers... Why are you shooting at someone over diapers. That wasn't because he cared about no damn theft. He wanted to shoot, and he killed a one year old over it.
Lesser-known steps of the writing process:
Finding all the paragraphs where you used some hyper-specific word more than once
Rearranging paragraphs that you swear you wrote in the right order but turned out to be totally backwards
Going for a walk, coming up with the perfect line, and forgetting it as soon as you get home and open your laptop
Creating a separate document where you can dump all of those nice sentences that no longer fit in anywhere
Waking up in a cold sweat because so-and-so was supposed to be barefoot but never actually took his shoes off
#Make Racists Scared Again 2026
Share if you want people to know they should be scared to be racist around you 👊🏾
"making them afraid will make them more racist" that's wild to me, because we live in a whole culture of social consequences for antiracism anyway. It is literally safer to be a racist than it is to speak up against it, socially.
Idk about you, but "I'm afraid no one will want to be my friend if I'm a white supremacist" seems like a pretty logical thought process to have, and I wish THAT were the normal and not "I'm afraid my friends will hate me if I tell them they made racist jokes".
Fandoms have a serious problem with how creators are being treated these days.
Fandom creators spend hours of their free time to create something to make fandom thrive...for free and for the love of the game.
And what do they get? A wholeass heap of fuck all. No reblogs, no comments, no nothing. And people are surprised that creators are dropping out left, right, and centre??
"Why is there no long fic anymore?" "Why did my favourite writer stop?" "Why is my favourite artist not posting anymore?"
I implore you to ask yourself: "What's the last thing I did to support my fandom? Does my favourite creator know they are my favourite? When was the last time I left a comment under something?"
DON'T WANT AI TO TAKE OVER? YOUR INTERACTION MATTERS!
I am once again thinking about how infuriating it is what the show opted use Henderson and Toomarian, one of whom is Samira's peer and the other Whitaker's, to convey. Henderson's primary purpose seemed to have been rubbing salt in the wound for Samira, like a final laugh about her chances of getting a fellowship she actually wants, there mainly to make her look less competent and qualified. All while Toomarian is there to make Whitaker look better? These sure are choices, huh!
And the thing about this is it totally undercuts the scene with the elderly patients! I’m on the record as hating everything about the geriatrics suggestion, thinking it’s a profound misrepresentation of what matters to and excites Samira, and thinking the suggestion of this was misogynistic on a number of levels. But even so, the show made a nod at why she might find it satisfying through the whole “young people don’t know what it’s like to be old” thing. I hated the whole concept of it, but they had a scene where she sees this underserved population that deserves high quality care but isn't getting it, and that set up an avenue for her to realize she doesn't need a prestigious or competitive subspecialty, she'd like to work with the elderly, and the attendings that clearly didn't understand her were actually totally right. There was a path for it to be her choice. Except they had this scene, where Samira expresses an active interest in ultrasound that she simply doesn't have in geriatrics, and it's in the context of an unfavourable comparison to a peer. She's left thinking she isn't good enough for anything she actually wants.
And that is what she brings into that final conversation with Robby. That is her frame of mind when she says that maybe she will go into geriatrics. It’s defeat. She’s hurt and she’s demoralized and she's lonely, and she's opting for the path of least resistance. Again, she's practically begging Robby for some encouragement, and all he can tell her is that she should go into this field she's never expressed any interest in, that it'd be "smart", following up from how the way he suggested it in the first place was really mean. He didn't stress the value of the field or point out that she has unique skills that would make her great at it; he said that there are always openings. And in the final scene, that's still his attitude – it'd be smart, not fulfilling, not exciting, not meaningful. Nothing about her or even the worthiness of the subspecialty. Just about it having openings.
For a brief moment, it could have been about seeing something in the field that aligns with what she wants, but that scene with Henderson, on top of the scenes with Robby, means it absolutely isn't. It could have all been so meaningful if she were going to get a third season where she figures out what she actually wants. But she isn't. So it's just intensely meanspirited, and there's no point whatsoever! It's just additional humiliation for no reason!

I don't know who my intended audience is here, so whoever needs to hear this, I am begging you to learn to participate in conversations that are about things you aren't interested in.
Part of socializing and having friends is being a good listener even when you don't actually give a shit about the subject.
Your are hurting other people's feelings when you bluntly respond with "Anyway..." and then change the topic.
It can not always be about your preferred topic.
You are being rude. Yes, even if you are neurodivergent. You can be both autistic and rude.
the worst part of summer is that people get sooo comfortable expressing their disgust at having to see other people’s bodies. they’re always complaining about wrinkly old men at the nude hot springs or fat women in bikinis at the beach. I hate that shit. if you’re not capable of being normal about bodies you personally don’t find attractive, just turn your head to look at something else! and if you’re not smart enough to do that, then at least do the rest of us the courtesy of suffering in silence, because we don’t wanna hear your weird comments. thanks.
i understand that it's unreasonable to expect a band on world tour to play in every country in the world but i do think they should only be allowed to call it a world tour if they play in every continent. we need to make it embarrassing to say world tour and then not even step foot in africa
Everyone say thank you sanitation workers we owe you our lives sanitation workers
what really gets me about the robby-samira dynamic by the end of s2 is that samira's behavior is so brutally reminiscent of that of an adult learning to deal with an emotionally abusive parent 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 the way the energy visibly leaves her and she stops trying to push back, the nodding and vague agreement to everything he says, even when he's saying things she would have vehemently denied in s1.. in their last conversation in the ambulance bay, the way she looks at him not even with resentment, more with acceptance and pity.. when she says "are you saying that because you believe it or you just want it to be true?" (paraphrasing) it feels like she's the more mature party despite the years robby has on her because she actually is realizing that she is more emotionally mature than he is. that realization that this person who has had so much power over you is genuinely just sort of pathetic.. the decision to give up on fighting and just agree with what they say and apologize for anything they push on you so that the conversation ends sooner.... mind you she hasn't even reached this level of exhaustion with her actual mother.... just BRUTAL!!!!!

*grips you*
your symptoms dont have to be the most severe to be valid. your symptoms are real, and others having worse symptoms doesn't mean anything about yours. its real, its valid and it deserves treatment
pick up that non-fiction book
not all of us can live in fantasy 100% the time like i see some people on here do and it's refreshing to learn something new. its been philosophy, essays, and history for me and i feel much more at home on planet Earth for it knowing that people have been struggling and wishing similarly for millenia.
its not that fiction doesnt have its place, its important and healthy to exercise the imagination, but non-fiction can do so much to boost and supplement that. if not for yourself, for your art or for the people you're around
"representation matters!" but you wont read or engage with non-fiction works about any demographic outside your own
this version of the post doesnt seem to be getting much traction but this is arguably the most important reason why we should be reading nonfiction in addition to fiction
