Ah fuck it if i have to suffer with this Whitaker does to.

Whitaker whose knee isn’t quite built right and as a kid messed up his knee even worse from doing farm work. Due to not having much money growing up and then being unhoused he wasn’t able to go to the doctors to get it looked at.

Most days he’s fine and doesn’t feel anything or just has a little pain where he can take some ibuprofen and will be fine but on days where he’s not slept well or is doing overtime or pulling a double or it just happens for some reason gets bad flair up with his knee to the point of where he is mostly unable to walk unassisted. The pain is so bad and barely anything helps. He tries to take some meds but they don’t really help.

He hasn’t really told many people and of those he’s told really only trusts a couple but mostly Trinity. If he gets a flair up he’ll tell Trinity and she will help take over his patients and he will chart (because he still wants to work but standing and walking is too much). She’ll help him walk as much as she can and makes sure he gets meds.

But he’s scared to tell Robby and Abbot…so he doesn’t. Somehow he’s been able to keep it a secret and since he hasn’t gone to the doctor it’s not on his chart so they won’t be able to find it. It’s not until he literally collapses during work because of a sudden really bad flair up that they ever find out.
