it was nothing it terms of cases or disasters, (all expected cases and just a few traumas) and he would have been praying for days like this before. But now he'd been out of practice for months and was just...overwhelmed

he wasn't running the ED anymore, al Hashimi was, and he was very slow when it came to cases. Seriously he forgot everything and anything at some point in the day. He nearly forgot to sedate a patient before sending her to the OR. Good thing Al Hashimi caught it,

He had brain fog the whole day, Abbot teased that maybe he was developing dementia, it didn't feel like a joke. He knew if he was a patient, he would recommend retirement or at least retraining.

the worst of the worse was at the very end of the day when he offered to drive Dennis home. Robby remembered he'd mentioned he was looking forward to riding a motorcycle, he had texted Dennis and offered he would let him drive his when he was back. Robby didn't want to let him drive it yet wanted to give him the experience. also maybe prove he could still be trusted to do something, he could drive.

but Dennis said no, he already had a ride. and at the most convenient of times the ride, another motorcycle, arrived. One being driven park the shark.
