YAY itâs Thursday! Iâm happy because today is technically my Friday! I may be on campus all day everyday from Monday to Thursday, but Fridays are my days to sleep in and and finish my homework which is AMAZING! So as I mentioned I practically live on campus during the week and itâs not too bad. Iâm here from 7 in the morning to 10 at night and Iâd say Iâve gotten pretty comfortable with staying that one corner of the library to finish homework(and watch netflix).Iâd say so far 3rd yearâs going pretty well.Â

The semester has begun and man is it hectic! I have really long days on campus and am super busy this semester! Now I just need to start using that planner I bought and hopefully things will go more smoothly for me !Â

Monday is here again! Only 23 more days til the semester begins! So excites and yet so nervous at the same time! I have so much too do! Make sure you guys get all your stuff done as well like filling out the health waiver because the deadline for that is August 12th!!! Youâre welcome! :)
4 weeks til fall semester begins! I donât think Iâm ready :O. Iâve already made a list of to dos and promised myself that I will be more organized and prepared, but we all know Ill stop using the planner I bought by the second week of school. Oh gosh another semester! Good luck to us all.Â
GUYS! You need  to fill out the health waiver when attending UC Merced! You can fill it out via your myucmerced portal. Remember if your application were to get denied you only have 7 days to file an appeal fro the date of denial! For more information contact the Health Center! And donât forget the deadline to fill out the waiver is August 12th!Â

MONDAY HERE WE GO AGAIN. How is the summer going by so fast. I already finalized my schedule and started looking at books that I need for the semester. The cheaper the better! Well enjoy your summer everyone!Â
Our Very first orientation of summer for UC Merced Class of 2019 is TOMORROW! I cant wait to meet the Class of 2019! I know I was nervous for my Freshman orientation and did not know what to expect so Iâm here to help you! Freshman Summer Orientation check in starts at 7:00 a.m. and the program will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m.
What To Bring!
ID - license, state issued ID. At orientation you will have your  student ID picture taken and they will be given to you at the end of the day. But if you happen to stop by the financial aid office or anything like that I would recommend bringing your license or a state issued ID so the staff can confirm your identity.
Paperwork - Donât forget to bring any paperwork such as your housing contract, any financial aid documents, or Official transcripts, etc. if you still need to turn stuff in!
Backpack/bag - I would bring a backpack to take all the stuff with you for orientation because you get ALOT of stuff. Informational stuff and COOL FREE stuff too!
Comfy shoes - Wear comfy shoes! You do a lot of sitting and listening at orenientation but you also do ALOT of walking so be prepared!Â
What To Expect!
Itâs Picture Day! Once again, at  orientation you will have your  student ID picture taken and they will be given to you at the end of the day. I was not aware of this. If only you all could see my I.D. picture⌠So make sure you have a good hair day!Â
Info Sessions! - DEFINITELY pay attention to these info sessions! They inform you about all the resources on campus and overall how to get through your first year of college. I would recommend bringing a notebook and pen. There is legitimately good stuff that they tell you and you donât want to forget it!
Group Activites and Making Friends - At orientation you will be put into a group and you will be with this group for almost the whole day. These people will most likely become your first UC Merced and college friends so if you really hit if off with someone in your group ask for their number so you can hang out or be study partners during the school year!Â
LUNCH - YES. They will feed you, and YES. itâs good food. This isnât High School lunch anymore :D
Club Fair - This was my absolute FAVORITE part about orientation! You got to see all the amazing Clubs and Organizations that UC Merced has to offer! One tip for all incoming students, GET INVOLVED! It can be time consuming at times, but you meet tons of people that can help you out through out your first year of college. Getting involved in a club or organization helps you adjust to college life Socially as well as Academically. TRUST ME!Â
