Then he opened the wrong door.
On his sixty-third day inside the Sinyala Facility, Reagent D-17 is sent back to the Bridal Workshop.
Eddie Gluskin’s territory has been cleaned, repaired, and reopened after a “special deployment” no one is willing to explain. The blood has been scrubbed away. The mannequins have been placed back behind the glass. The bridal consultant still smiles from its track.
D-17 thinks he knows what happened there.
There are some doors in the Workshop that were never meant to be opened.
