Muslims who keep repeating that Islam will take over the world aren’t “Islamists”, they don’t even know what an Islamist is, and they don’t think of themselves as plotting against the country they live in. For Islam to rule the world, from a Muslim’s perspective, is like Christ ruling the world from a Christian’s, or the Moshiach ruling from a Jew’s. It’s a good thing. It’s the inevitable, ultimate end, the rule of the Creator over His creation. The difference is this: A Christian who longs for Christ to reign, or a Jew who awaits the messianic age, doesn’t believe he has to conquer the world to install his messianic figure. He believes that figure will do it himself, ushering in a world of justice. Muslims, however, believe they themselves must subjugate the world to Allah’s rule, by any means necessary. And it’s that Machiavellian logic, where the end sanctifies the method, that turns violence, manipulation, and exploitation into justified tools.
Islam has been so aggressively racialized in Western discourse that many people are no longer capable of looking at it as a religion
Islam has been so aggressively racialized in Western discourse that many people are no longer capable of looking at it as a religion, ideology, or governing system. Instead, it is treated as a kind of ethnic inheritance - something biologically fused to the people associated with it.
This distortion becomes especially obvious in the case of Iran. Iranian civilization did not begin with Islam, and Iranian identity is not reducible to any religion. Yet outsiders routinely speak as though “Iranian” and “Muslim” were naturally synonymous, as if a civilization thousands of years old can simply be collapsed into the religion of foreign people who conquered it after a single battle in 636.
That mistake has real consequences. Once Islam is racialized, criticism of Islam is misread as hatred of a people rather than criticism of a doctrine. Resistance to Islamist rule is then treated as identity confusion. Iranian rejection of the Islamic Republic becomes framed as alienation from “their own culture,” when in reality the opposite is often true: the rejection is rooted in the desire to recover what Islamist rule has spent decades degrading, erasing, or subordinating.
This is the point many people refuse to confront. Islam - especially in its politicized and totalizing forms - has long existed in tension with Iranian civilizational identity. It imposed itself upon an older language, older memory, and older cultural instincts, and demanded submission not only in matters of worship but in law, dress, speech, art, and the structure of public life. The Islamic Republic sharpened this tension by weaponizing Islam as an instrument of state power—turning it into the vocabulary of humiliation, the architecture of censorship, and the justification for violence.
For that reason, it should not surprise anyone that many Iranians are willing to risk their lives resisting Islamist rule. That willingness reflects clarity. People will fight the thing they know is suffocating their nation. They will resist the ideology that has turned beauty into guilt, joy into sin, dissent into heresy, and national life into a hostage chamber.
The Western inability to process this stems from deeply flawed intellectual categories. Christianity is treated as theology, liberalism as ideology, nationalism as doctrine, and Marxism as a political project—all open to criticism and blame. But Islam, within this framework, is treated as identity. Once that happens, criticism becomes taboo and the people living under Islamist regimes become analytically invisible. Their resistance cannot be understood because the framework itself is designed to shield the ideology from scrutiny.
That is why Iranian people so often break Western narratives. Their experience exposes the central error: Islam is not an ethnicity and it is not the inescapable essence of every society it has ruled. It can be rejected, criticized, and resisted - especially when fused to state power.
For many Iranians, Islam is not experienced as sentimental heritage but as conquest extended through law, punishment, and forced piety. It is remembered not as mere faith, but as a structure that has repeatedly demanded the shrinking of Iran into something narrower, sadder, uglier, and more obedient. That is why so many efforts to romanticize Islam as somehow organically identical with Iranian identity ring false, even obscene. They ask a civilization to treat the ideology that has governed and constrained it as the essence of its soul.
A serious analysis of Iran requires abandoning these fraudulent categories. Islam must be treated as what it is: a religion, a set of doctrines, and, in many contexts, a political program with concrete consequences for law, liberty, culture, and power. Once that happens, Iranian resistance becomes perfectly intelligible. The Western discourse that claims to value freedom, dissent, and decolonial analysis, yet suddenly goes blind when the object of critique is Islam.
Islam itself is a framework for conquest and control through the most violent ways. Many who live outside these kinds of Islamic countries and communities only concern themselves with Islam's theology, and those Muslims are different. However, they are not representative of Islam. The true representatives are the terrorist groups, and the so-called extremists.

Islam was founded by a warlord that wanted to exert his ideology's supremacy over the then-prevailing ideologies/religions. This can only be achieved by fostering hatred towards other religions, which is why hatred towards other religions is a prime characteristic of Islam. When its followers are indoctrinated of this hatred right from childhood, what you see in the name of Islam is a natural consequence.
Islam came to Iran by the sword, and only by the sword can it be removed.
They are Islamists. Islamists -literally Al-Qaeda, ISIS-adjacent Islamists- do not suddenly become paragons of righteous secular nationalism. There is no precedent.
Muslims just can't resist being fundamentalist tyrants when given the chance.

Hamas 7/10 Sexual Crimes Report
Orit Sulitzeanu, CEO of the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel, stated, "The report, submitted to decision-makers at the UN, leaves no room for denial or disregard. The terrorist organization Hamas chose to harm Israel strategically in two clear ways – kidnapping citizens and committing sadistic sexual crimes. Silence is no longer an option. We expect international organizations to take a clear stance; we cannot stand on the sidelines. Silence will be remembered as a historical stain on those who chose to remain silent and deny the sexual crimes committed by Hamas."
The report is the first official research since October 7, consolidating evidence and providing conclusions. The report clearly demonstrates that this is not a "malfunction" or isolated incident but a clear operational strategy involving systematic, targeted sexual abuse. The report focuses on sexual and gender-based violence during the massacre of October 7, 2023, and the war that ensued, serving as a primary testimonial foundation indicating widespread sexual crimes. The report was written by, Dr. Carmit Klar Chalamish, head of the research department at the Association of Rape Crisis Centers in Israel, and Noga Berger, director of content at the organization.
Methodology
The report analyzes numerous confidential and public pieces of information, including testimonies, interviews with official and non-official first responders, information permitted for publication in various media outlets, and direct information received by the ARCCI. After gathering the information, a cataloging and analysis process was undertaken to map the areas and patterns of sexual crimes. The report does not provide quantitative information due to the nature of the events, most of which resulted in the victims' deaths, making their full extent unknown and possibly unknowable.
Findings
The report finds that the Hamas attack included brutal acts of violent rape, often involving threats with weapons, specifically directed towards injured women. Many rape incidents occurred collectively, with collaboration among the perpetrating terrorists. In some cases, rape was conducted in front of an audience, such as partners, family, or friends, to increase the pain and humiliation for all present. Some Hamas members pursued victims who escaped the massacre, dragging them by their hair with screams. The majority of victims were subsequently killed during or after the sexual assault.
Several testimonies, interviews, and additional sources indicate the use of sadistic practices by Hamas terrorists, aimed at intensifying the humiliation and fear of sexual abuse. Many victims' bodies were found mutilated and bound, with sexual organs brutally attacked, and in some cases, weapons were inserted into them. Some bodies were discovered deliberately booby-trapped. It is essential to note that the report details only information from identified sources permitted for publication, while analysis includes additional confidential information that cannot be disclosed publicly.
Analysis of the information reveals that sexual and gender-based violence occurred systematically in 4 arenas:
Nova Festival (Re'im music festival) – Testimonies from survivors significantly indicate severe sexual assaults in the festival arena. There are eyewitness and earwitness testimonies of group rape. These testimonies align with descriptions from first responders and corpse-handling personnel.
Kibbutzim – Testimonies from first responders and corpse-handling personnel reveal signs of sexual assault in the scenes of the massacre. Many cases involve heinous attacks on women and girls, including a case of hiding a knife in a genital organ. Additional information was received by the ARCCI but cannot be disclosed due to privacy concerns.
IDF bases – Bodies of female soldiers arriving at the "Shura" camp exhibited clear signs of sexual violence.
Captivity – Information regarding sexual assaults in captivity has been published following the testimonies of those who returned from captivity. These testimonies include various cases, including those of captives who are still alive.
According to Dr. Carmit Klar-Chalamish and Noga Berger, the report's authors, "The brutal practices used on October 7, such as genital mutilation of girls, women, and men, shooting, and weapon insertion, were designed to destroy and inflict sadistic terror. The manner in which these assaults were carried out aimed to reinforce their impact on the victims and their communities, which failed to prevent the harm. As the scars in our hearts refuse to heal, and the souls of our sisters and brothers cry out to us from the depths of the earth, a significant portion of those we considered partners responded in silence and denial of these horrors. We call on you to raise your voices and not allow the cries of these victims to fade away."
The report clearly demonstrates that this is not a "malfunction" or isolated incident but a clear operational strategy involving systematic,

‘Enough of this’: Hamas co-founder’s son speaks out
I am talking about people who strategically place their own non-combatants, their own women and children, in the line of fire to inflict further violence upon their enemies, knowing that their enemies have a more civilized moral code that will make them hesitant to shoot back for fear of killing or maiming innocent non-combatants. If cynicism and nihilism can be found together in their most perfect forms anywhere in this universe, it is here. Jihadists use their own people as human shields routinely. Hamas fires rockets from hospitals, mosques, schools, and other sites, calculated to create carnage if the Israelis return fire. There were instances in the war in Iraq where jihadists literally rested the barrels of their guns on the shoulders of children, blowing up crowds of their own children to kill US soldiers who were distributing candy to them. Conversely, the Israeli army routinely warns people to evacuate buildings before bombing them. Of course, during times of war, it is common to dehumanize one’s enemy, labelling them as barbarous and evil. It's natural for ethical and educated individuals to distrust such politically charged language. But pay attention, I am describing concrete behaviors, behaviors that occur on only one side of this conflict. Just consider how absurd it would be to reverse the logic of human shields in this case. Imagine the Israelis using their own women and children as human shields against Hamas. Recognize how unthinkable this would be, not just for the Israelis to treat their own civilians in this way, but for them to expect that their enemies could be deterred by such a tactic, given who their enemies actually are. Again, it’s easy to lose sight of the moral distance here, which is strange, akin to losing sight of the Grand Canyon while standing right on its edge. Take a moment to do the cognitive work. Imagine the Jews of Israel using their own women and children as human shields, and then imagine how Hamas, or Hezbollah, or Al Qaeda, or Isis, or any other jihadist group would respond. The image you should now have in your mind is a masterpiece of moral surrealism, it’s preposterous, akin to a Monty Python sketch where all the Jews die. Do you see what this asymmetry means? Can you grasp how deep it runs? Do you understand what it tells you about the ethical difference between these two cultures? There are not many bright lines that divide good from evil in our world, but this is one of them.
For those defending Hamas.

Whenever innocent civilians perish, it is a tragedy, regardless of whose side they have the fortune or misfortune of being on. A civilian death is a civilian death; a life is a life. Part of governance, though, is to use one's power and authority to protect the lives placed under oneself. Submission and obedience are exchanged for protection and provision. It is Hamas who are the governing power and authority in the Gaza Strip. The IDF is far more powerful than Hamas; Hamas knew this. It was Hamas who chose to aggravate the IDF, knowing they were provoking a superior military. It was Hamas that not only invaded Israel, and not only chose to kill and kidnap Israeli men of fighting age, but reached down into the depths of reptilian barbarity to behead dozens of infants, kidnap and murder children, women, and even the elderly. It was Hamas who then bragged about this to the world by publishing videos of their preparations and the crimes themselves. And after this act of utter barbarity -- after not only throwing rocks at a bee hive but putting a snake inside it -- after ensuring that the IDF would doubtless respond and likely catch Hamas' own civilians in the resulting crossfire -- they resumed launching missiles into Israel. [...] If, however, Hamas demonstrates a proper attitude of governance -- if they care about their own innocent civilians, they will fully and completely surrender to the IDF, guaranteeing their subjects' safety. Instead, Hamas, the governing power and authority in the Gaza Strip, will kick their civilians out of hospitals so that their own soldiers can make their bases there, in hopes that the world will be naïve enough to think that any attack on hospitals would be attacks on patients. In inevitable ground combat, Hamas will use their own citizens as human shields, and guise themselves in their own women's clothes. It will be a mournful and profoundly regrettable tragedy when innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip lose their lives in the inevitable IDF invasion. No tear shed for any one of them will be inappropriate. But their blood will be entirely on the heads of Hamas. [...] There is now and has never been at any time any room or place for those who would not only slay infants in the heat of war, but torture them to death and relish in their cries of innocent agony like some prehistoric human sacrifice cult; for those who would hide like cowards behind the dresses of the elderly women they'd kidnapped. Dishonorable, cruel, cowardly, and foolish are just some of the thoughts that jump to mind. There is no greatness, no righteousness, no human value in any of their actions. Hamas is a virus, and like a virus, it must be eliminated.
