I know that Cassandra Clare will never kill Alec Lightwood because I read a post that said he was based on a friend she had lost when she was younger and she wanted him to have a happier ending and I think that's so beautiful I literally teared up this has touched my soul.This is such a lovely way to remember someone by forever immortalizing them in a book. And it makes me wonder about Alec's fear of being forgotten it's like Cassandra is saying "I'll never forget you I'll put you here in these pages". I really just needed to share this with everyone. Alec has always been so special to me and this added layer is making me love him even more which I didn't know to be possible.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN KEL'S EYES USED TO BE BLUE?

I had suspected the Ragpicker King plot twist/revelation and when my suspicions were confirmed, I still vibrated with excitement. But I never expected the Prosper Beck twist. As always, Cassandra Clare's writing had me feeling things I don't feel too often when things get raunchy. (This woman really knows how to put you into the feelings of the characters during those scenes.) But she also had me fully immersed, as she always does, in the world of her story and characters. And she had me cheering and gaping in shock as well as sitting on the edge of my seat trying so desperately to read faster so that I could stop having the urge to pull my hair out in a rage during the novel's climax. 12/10 writing and I cannot wait to see Lin come into her role and see herself for who she really is in the next book. Just as I cannot wait to see more of Andreyen and by the Goddess there better be some justice dealt harshly to the traitors on the Hill.

It is literally impossible to pick a favorite line from this because the entire thing is gold. 

i’m so dead still thinking about that moment in the punisher where frank was trying to comfort (?) amy when she had just shot someone and she was like, “wtf omg i just killed someone,” and frank was like, “oh no, you sweet summer flower, you just shot him,” *turns and shoots* “i killed him, see?”
