link to bluesky post
In addition to how to turn various things, it includes:
Other useful AI Removal/Detection links
How to spot AI Hallucinations like a Reference Librarian (originally on Substack)
Library Freedom Project has a lot of handouts about AI on their Resources page
This is relevant to art also because it is becoming increasingly difficult to find reference images online during simple searches.

Ok so not to e-stalk some random korean phoptographer but it looks like oop is an ai account. I didn't see any obvious "mistakes" in that one though I 'm an art guy not a photography guy. But things like random artefacting, and just the improbability of tens of photos with the same flowers looking perfect and the same exact lighting that are clearly different cats (this one for example being clearly a chubbier-faced cat in the first photo and a younger or smaller cat in the second one) point to it being AI. None of these plants even seem to have wooden branches or any flower not in bloom. It just looks so hazy while still having the cats' faces in focus and without deep shadows
Plus there are many more examples that are super obvious. Even some that clearly had digital painting and pencil illustrations thrown into the slop soup. And if you scroll far enough, you'll get to real photos that have nothing to do with the style or subject matter of the new ones. It's a sudden jump in style that doesn't make sense. When did they have the time to become an animal photographer? It just seems like an effort to monetise a platform they already had
Feel free to prove me wrong if you've got info on how their posts are made, but taken together there's no other conclusion I can draw atm. The description even says they make "collages out of different photos", which could mean anything. If they were photoshopping these they'd probably say so because that would also be super impressive. Though admittedly I did not look too closely in an effort to not fuck up my instagram algo too bad
(and that's why op turned the comments off)
oops scratch that "there aren't any mistakes" part, why is his tail cut short and suddenly blue??

genuinely I'm so sick of people wanting all fiction to be ethical. can we all just get a little gross with it. the point of fiction is that it's not real. we can be unethical in fiction; same goes with being perverted with fiction, being unrealistic with fiction, and being grotesque with fiction. not all fiction has to be ethical, not every character has to be ethical, and that's okay. can we stop with the puritanism. be gross. be unrealistic. be whatever. if I don't like it it's not my business as long as we're all clear that its fictional.
via ered.bsky.social, the only kinds of unethical fiction:
people in the replies are going "what about books glorifying unethical things" and "what if it's propaganda" and you, my friends, are who this comic was made for
Cannot stand the trend of censoring any and all words that describe concepts that might make you go :( especially when the censoring is done in that quarter-assed way that's just 'did a lil scribble over a vowel so you know that I know this word describes a no-no."
I'm not even going to be vague about what sparked this. Do not fucking censor the word 'stole.' I'm at my fucking limit.
Who does this benefit. Who is made safer by this. Whose life is made better by this. Who is out there going "Wow I sure am glad I didn't have to see that word without it scribbled on a little. That really reduced the emotional impact of reading that word." Can I kill them?
Some people are even censoring words like “disease” and “sick” on Instagram now
sorry, prev, your tags are too true to be silenced

Another piece I've made using SuchArt as my program of choice, using the @color-palettes monthly challenge palette for August
Part of the inspiration came from the RATS SG on City of Heroes Homecoming. I recently made a part roomba mouse robot character, and there was a reference I used that someone posted up.
i need to peg him so bad
he really did this for us and there are no words to describe how eternally grateful i am
A Shop For Killers (the show, as I haven't read the book) is a great metaphor for the horror of Capitalism and even the destruction and life-ruining shit that Big Corporations do to small businesses/mom and pop shops. There are, of course, other metaphors and overarching themes that can be taken from it, but I think one of the most upfront ones is this. And it becomes all the more evident in Season 2.
I hate this fucking show so much.
(For clarity, I mean A Shop For Killers Season 2 and not Goblin. But Lee Dong-wook's face in this image is mine right now after episode 7.)
Update:
I love this fucking show so much.
(My face by the end of it.)

oh brother 😔 I had this date a few years back with an autistic guy, where he was like “by the way, you’re autistic too,” and I was like “oh, haha, no I’m not!” and then he went through this listing of every diagnostic trait he’d noticed ending with “and you haven’t made eye contact with me ONCE!” while I sat there getting more and more furious.
in retrospect I think it was very funny, and I hope he’s doing well
people are commodifying my anecdotes on twitter
what a cringe thing to do
