is there a cheer captain/quarterback au for zimbits yet? like, former gymnast eric Bittle joins cheer team bc it’s close enough and ends up the only guy AND gets voted captain. Jack zimmermann, quarterback of the football team, thinks the cheerleaders (and marching band lol) are a frivolous distraction from the game…until he’s benched for a game and really watches bittle…
OR Jack’s the cheerleader who thinks cheer should be taken more seriously at sporting games and B is the football player who loves the cheer girls but thinks JZ needs to take a chill pill
Both of these are So Good, but I also want the one where they’re both cheerleaders. Jack the over-serious captain of the squad. Bitty the competitive gymnast who’s a spectacular tumbler but cripplingly scared of lifts. Not the heights part – the trusting other people part. Jack and Bitty must do many, many trust exercises. Piggyback rides ensue.
Bad Bob could be a former Olympic gymnast…or a football player. Both have outstanding potential for legacy angst and gender shenanigans.

When he was forced to put a top, he picked the women’s top and never switched. When Bitty told him he’d love to be lifted and Shitty couldn’t do it alone, Shits came back with the two biggest bros he could find- - who were excellent football prospects. Jack was mad. At first.)
having just seen Bring it On the musical, I would LOVE to see SMH as an all-male cheerleading squad, brought together only to support women’s sports at Samwell, as a political statement by Shitty & Lardo which turned into a joyous experience.
Jack Zimmermann, who was determined not to play hockey at Samwell, got caught up when he realised Shitty wasn’t taking it seriously enough (you can’t play sports casually), took over as captain and has turned the squad into a trophy-winning dream machine.
Enter Bitty…
