“Swimming, first. Is there a beach nearby somewhere?” Keith questioned, wrapping his arms around Maggie and leaning into her embrace. Feeling his face flush from her own kisses, it amazed Keith that Maggie had such an effect over him. Even after so long of dating, he felt the usual butterflies fluttering in his stomach. Moving his face so he could kiss her lips, one hand cupped Maggie’s cheek and he allowed himself to deepen the kiss to the best of his abilities. But he didn’t want to get off track though and knowing once he did this he wouldn’t be able to stop, Keith pulled away with a smile. “Did you want to stop and get food to bring along the way too?“

Keith’s eyebrows rose in excitement. “You’re joking! Did you really? I have some money saved too, just in case and– -” He enveloped his girlfriend into a big hug and peppered her lips with kisses. “This is your thank you gift and also an ‘i missed you’ gift too. When can we go? Can we go today? A spontaneous road trip, I like the sound of that.”

“Happy New Year, Maggie!” Keith chirped up happily, as he leaned over to kiss his girlfriend. As soon as he pulled away, he wrapped his arms around Maggie, as they stood outside with the perfect view of the fireworks showing from afar. “Let’s hope this one is ten times better than the last one yeah?”

To say that Maggie wasn’t anticipating Keith kissing her at midnight was an understatement, it had been the only thing she could think about and was more than happy when he actually did kiss her. “Happy New Year ta ya ta, babe.” She mumbled against his lips with a slight laugh before pulling away. “This year was fine, but yes- we can make this year ten times better.”

“Well I kind of got a job recently. It’s in a little bakery, down the street from the University. You should come visit. I’ll sneak you free treats.” Keith winked. “How do you know? I might of died—-of embarrassment, that is.” He chuckled, continuing to walk to his dorm room. “But Maggie, you made me baked goods in the past and they were good. Pleaaaaaase cook with me? I want to cook with my girlfriend.”

A snicker, a good one, left Maggie’s lips and she only shook her head the tiniest bit, “Sneakin’ me treats is only gonna get ya fired. Definitely not somethin’ I wanna be the ‘cause of. Sorry Bear.” Maggie’s face scrunched up as she let out a breath she didn’t even know she was holding. “I don’t know - I had professional help when I made those. I guess I can try cookin’ with ya, but ya havta watch my every move or else I swear I’m goin’ ta burn somethin’.”

“They went on a cruise without us?”

“That’s what I said! But it’s whatever, right? They prolly deserve it.”

“I’m. Not. Jealous. Of. Ethan.” 

“Then why do you care more than Keith, huh?”

“We do. We need to make a list of places to visit so we have a mini vacation.” Keith smiled. “Yes, ma’am! I planned it all. Well if you said no, then I might have internally died inside. Maybe just a tad.” He teased. “But you didn’t say no, so that’s all that matters! Come on.” He intertwined their fingers and began walking back to his dorm room. “You can help me cook it too, Mags. My girl’s my cooking partner. I’m so lucky.” He cooed.

“A list? I’m pretty sure travelin’ is goin’ ta cost money and I don’t know ‘bout ya but I’m not rollin’ ‘round in cash right now.” A soft laugh left Maggie’s lips as she followed Keith back to his dorm her hand squeezing his every now and then. “Ya wouldn’t have died at all, don’t even pretend.” Maggie rolled her eyes, stiffing another giggle. “Okay, so I love ya and everythin’ but me bein’ ya’re cookin’ partner isn’t the best idea seein’ as I can’t cook to save my life.”
