It's that time of the year again where we thank our father for their unconditional love and care for us! Since long long before, the father has always been the head of the house and the provider of the family. I'm not saying that all fathers are like that, I know some who turn over the head of the family duties to the mother. They work hard to make sure we have enough food to eat, warm clothes to wear, and house to shelter ourselves with. Knowing their hardwork for us, don't you think that they deserve our deep gratitude? That why during this day, June 17, 2012, we set aside a bit of our time for them. In our case, we'll be eating at Sambo Kojin today. It won't be just us though, my aunts, uncles, and grandfather will be joining us on our celebration! After all, isn't my grandfather their father as well? ^_^ Unfortunately, I wasn't able to buy a gift for my dad. I did think of it before, but then I remembered I wasn't able to give my mother a present during Mother's Day as well. And I wouldn't want my mom to feel bad not receiving a gift while my father does. =) Anyway, I just want to greet all of your father a "HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!" and hope they enjoy their very own special day of the year! P.S. I'll be editing this post again later this afternoon to include my experience of the events of today. ^_^

HUNGER GAMES!!! Honestly, I just can't get enough of it! To begin with, I never really had any interest in this series. But when my cousin-in-law gave me an extra copy of the Hunger Games (Book One), I fell in love with it! I literally could not put down the book. And after every reading, I would lay in bed wide awake thinking of it. Because I only had the first book, I tried looking for the rest of the trilogy. I searched at Ebay, Sulit, and any other online buying sites that I can find. Unfortunately, every single one of them was either sold out, had a different cover, or vastly overpriced. In the end, I just bought the whole Trilogy and debating whether or not to sell the first book or not. It was, after all, given to me by my really nice cousin-in-law. Anyway, I bought the Hunger Games Trilogy from National Bookstore at Lucky Chinatown. Let me tell you some information about it. Lucky Chinatown is a newly-opened high-end mall at the heart of Binondo owned by the Megaworld Lifestyle Mall. Some of the malls they own are the Eastwood Mall, Eastwood City Walk, Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill, and Newport Mall at Resorts World Manila. According to the Megaworld First Vice President, their primary goal in creating Lucky Chinatown Mall is to reinvent the lifestyle of residents and tourists of Binondo. Back to the topic, when I bought Hunger Games, I got a free utility bag from National Bookstore! It's something that they give out to customers who reached a minimum purchase of P1000. Since the Trilogy only cost P995, I had to add a P7 ballpen to the total. LOL. As for the images, you'll be seeing all of them above, right before the text starts. See you at my next post!

I realized I have left my Polyvore account untouched for quite a while now, and thought that it's time I make a new outfit design. I went for the dark look, well, not actually dark, more like cool and sexy, perfect for clubbing at night. I paired the really cool top with liquid leggings and added a studded jacket for that extra style. Instead of necklace, I went for a scarf with black stars, and chose a nice backpack rather than a shoulder bag or sling bag. Then comes the studded (again) black high heels which, I think, is perfect for the jacket. I finished off the look with sunglasses and a hat that you can use in almost any outfit. As for the makeup, I would go for red lipstick and maybe some black eyeliner, but not heavy like those emo makeups. And while making this look, I suddenly thought of the song "My Medicine" by Pretty Reckless. It's an American rock band with Taylor Momsen as the lead vocals. For those who doesn't know Taylor Momsen, she plays the role of Jenny, the little brother of Dan, from Gossip Girl. Honestly though, I hate her character, Jenny. But not her. A year sure can't pass without Christmas! Well, for me, at least! Anyway, this is what I wore the night of Christmas Eve. I was going to visit my family on my mother's side, and I wanted to wear something casual ---- pleasant but not overdressed. We had our noche buena there and had a few drinks. We just drank some Tanduay Ice in blue and red flavors. I forgot the name of the flavors so let's just leave it at that! Unfortunately, I won't be able to show you pictures of my presents before they were opened. I was to excited so I opened them as soon as I got them! But I'll still be posting photos of the gifts sometime next week. =D Lastly, since a new year is coming in less than 3 days, I'm thinking of changing my layout again. What do you think? I've been neglecting my blog too much and it deserves a makeover! ^_^ P.S. What special gift did you receive for Christmas?

The second magazine I bought was MYX "The K-Pop Special". Again, it was featuring Super Junior, but this time, during their Super Show 2, a.k.a. SS2. But that's not the only K-Pop band they have in the magazine. There are also 22 other K-Pop bands included, such as 2AM, 2PM, Big Bang, BEAST, SHINee, and lots more. It only costed me P95 for this mag. Next up is the magazine dedicated solely to K-Pop, Sparkling Magazine! Their 1st ever issue featured 2PM in their front cover, and 4minute in their back cover, or the other way around, depending on which cover you consider is the front. Sparkling Magazine costs P150 each, but I think that's a fair price considering that it is the ONLY K-Pop magazine here in the Philippines. The 2nd issue of Sparkling Magazine, and the most current, is the one featuring Kyu Jong and Young Saeng in the front cover, and the amazing 2NE1 in the back cover. The last magazine I bought is, again, from MYX. They featured 2NE1 as their front cover and the articles were pretty meaningful. All in all, I have only five K-Pop magazines. I am currently waiting for the next issue that Sparkling Magazine will be releasing. I hope they feature SHINee!! P.S. Are there any K-Pop magazine issue that I should add in my collection?

This is what I wore during my Grandfather's birthday last December. I only posted it now because I just accidentally found it in my mom's Micro-SD memory card. I was actually suppose to upload this photo on Lookbook instead of on my blog. Unfortunately, Lookbook doesn't want to accept it because, apparently, the width is too small. My only option was to crop off the height, but I can't do that or else the photo would lack my head or my feet. Anyway, I got the red V-neck top from my mom, which she brought at Faded Glory. My black skinny jeans were from Reborn, and my flats were brought from China. As for the brown vintage bag, it was handed over to me and my sister from our mother. Lastly, the bear necklace with small diamonds was also brought from a mall at China. P.S. I should really take note of what stores I buy from when I go to China.

The one thing I would really love to draw are manga characters. I wonder how mangaka(s) draw their manga so beautifully! It would be a mystery to me forever.

I forgot how much the price was, but I don't remember it exceeding P300. Quite a catch, actually.

For all Etude House lovers, including me, it was the best time to splurge, but of course, within the limited budget we all probably have. Here are all the products I bought: 1. The freebies are different every time, however I have no idea when they change their freebies. The last freebie I got was a cute pink pen with a heart and wings at the top. I loved it! This time I got a 2NE1 album, which I loved more! That's it! I'll be posting a review soon about the products I just mentioned. It's not my first time using the products of Etude House, and so far they have been good to my skin. That's why I'm interested in trying out other products that they offer. Hopefully there will be good results too.
