Iβm all for people being paid equally, but these tweets omit some important data, such as:
Worldwide viewership of the matches it is comparing, since ad revenue is generated from the global market, not just US.
Total viewership, attendance, and viewership of the tournament, since thatβs what the ad revenue and price pool is actually based on.
So for example, hereβs some data on the disparity in ad revenue for the two tournaments that I just pulled up from this article:
And while viewers made the Sunday match by far the most-watched soccer game in American TV history, little of that excitement could be seen in the tourney's marketing deals. Fox grabbed an estimated $17 million in ads from corporate sponsors of the elite women's matches β a tiny fraction compared to the $529 million ESPN pocketed in sponsorship revenue from last year's tournament in Brazil.
Come on, Nog, tell me. Why is it so damned important for you to get into Starfleet?

But you know whatβs really interesting about this?
Nog is completely right at this point in the series.
But then we get to see Romβs confidence in himself grow. We see him take on more responsibility within the bar. We see him lead the workers to unionize. We eventually see him leave the bar and join the Maintenance Crew. He gets promoted. He does good work. He comes up with the idea of the minefield. He risks his life to stop it from being disabled. Finally, Rom is the one who succeeds Zek and becomes Grand Nagus.
Nog doesnβt want to end up like his father, but he doesnβt realize how much his father is going to end up like him.
One of my favorite character moments from DS9.
I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and sign-up with Netflix again because Amazon Prime just doesn't have the shows.

X-Ray really gives a neat perspective on the different suppressor/silencer designs.

True, but I liked the Hierarchy the best. They were funny. Well, at least the one who thought the Doctor was actually the captain was.
The Vidiians were an alien race afflicted with a plague that they coped with by transplanting body parts that they stole from compatible aliens. Their faces are patchwork of these gruesome "harvested" parts. The Vidiians might be my favorite thing from Voyager.
What colors is Spock's urine?
This was first episode I caught on TV as a kid...I thought this was the show. About a ship where the captain had to constantly keep from being killed and the Asian character was the villain (as in all the Japanese monster movies I was also watching at the same time). The next ep. I watched of course had Sulu and Kirk working together. I decided at the time the show made no sense and didn't watch again for two years.

Alien Planet is a 94-minute docufiction, originally airing on the Discovery Channel, about two internationally built robot probes searching for alien life on the fictional planet Darwin IV. It was based on the book Expedition, by sci-fi/fantasy artist and writer Wayne Douglas Barlowe, who was also executive producer on the special. It premiered on May 14, 2005.
The show uses computer-generated imagery, which is interspersed with interviews from such notables as Stephen Hawking, George Lucas, Michio Kaku and Jack Horner.
Seriously one of the best things sci-fi and space related things I've ever watched. Tagging this for all my trekkie fans who haven't seen yet and are jonesin' for something new to watch!
