"Cujo!" His windbreaker swished with his every step, taking long strides along the trail as he tried to catch up with his dog. Well, not his dog. Technically, Cujo belonged to his dad, which felt like a cruel punchline after surviving a childhood where he wasn't allowed so much as a goldfish. He'd gotten the beagle almost five years ago, but Cujo had somehow retained his too-big paws and floppy ears, making him that much harder to ever say 'no' to. After slipping his collar and extending this hike an extra twenty minutes? Scott didn't think those literal puppy dog eyes would be working on him for a long while. He sighed, squinting up at the sky that'd gone gray, a fine mist of rain just starting. "Cujo, where you at, boy!"
Madison enjoyed hiking for two reasons, the first is because it kept her in shape for her job at Sirens so she would always look good and two it was a distraction and she could escape with her thoughts. She had been thinking of adopting a dog to join her and share her love with, the nights could get lonely when she couldn't sleep. She was on a trail with her airpods on when a dog came out of nowhere and came running to her. It was a cute beagle and it clearly belonged to someone. ''Let's find your owner huh?'' Madison smiled and got the pup to follow her. She frowned as it started to rain but she was determined, relieved when she saw a male figure not far from her. ''Hey! Is this cutie yours?'' She yelled out to him.

Madison was born into a dysfunctional family with a mother who wasn't really maternal and a father who liked to drink, a lot. He also had anger issues so the mix would end up with Maddie getting bruises and her mom not being able to do anything about it.
going to school in not the best of clothes made her a target and school hell all through high school. she would just pretend to ignore it or laugh it off but it still bothered her. between the abuse and school treatment it was harder for her to even get up some days. a dream life right?
life went by in a flash somehow and soon she was graduating high school with both physical and emotional scars from treatment at home and school but part of that life was over now. she had been working a part time job since her freshman year so she had enough money to move out and one last bruise from her father made her realize it was for the best. she needed out of Texas and decided to move to the sunny coast of California for a fresh start.
she had some work experience but didn't want to stay in her hometown for college and didn't think it was for someone like her anyway so finding a job was difficult. shortly after moving to cascade she did some job searching and found dancing at Sirens would make her good money. she hid the old scars from her abuse with makeup before every shift to not scare anyone away.
