Content creation is new for me. I don't think I follow the principles that I have observed working for others on the platform to the best of my ability, but with practice, I have been getting better. From here, I know that, at least on tumblr, I should post things that I find interesting to myself to not only gather an audience, but to hold my own interest as well. Not only that, set more scheduled posts that I create in batch so that I can get my writing done in one big burst, but have a continuous stream of content that my blog keeps pushing out.

This is the chart that answers (or in this case disproves) my research question and hypothesis. The chart shows tumblr posts and their total notes they received. In the middle, it shows if the post is either relatable or if it incites audience interaction. From the data, you can see that popular posts don't necessarily have relatability, but are more for the content creators own interests. Would there be a better way to organize this data?

I already asked most of my questions in person during office hours, but just to be clear, the How to Write Guide is supposed to be one page for content creators, correct? Nothing too fancy, but just tips and tricks for people who make content to learn from?

In my final revision, I'll be taking the notes and the framework of the draft I made and expanding on the topics. I'm a little worried because it is already 6 pages single spaced, so I have no idea how long it will be when it is all written out, double spaced, and with no bullet points. But other than that, I'm adding my graphs and data to help prove my statements. It's a little disappointing that my research question and hypothesis are incorrect, but it happens in research and I'm glad to have learned from it.

My revision process has always been lacking in most of my other classes since I was young. My "rough drafts" have always been more like, "pretty much final papers" in the end which I only need to tweak up a little to finish. This puts a lot of pressure on me when I first start an assignment and I get burnt out quickly, so my process is to work through the urge to make a completed project and make something that can help guide me later when I'm finishing up the assignment.

I am rethinking my style while designing my How to Write Guide by making the information more clear and coherent from the get go. Messing around with text boxes to make the info pop, rather than spend a whole paragraph or two explaining something would help with the readability! So making it more of a quick Tips & Tricks rather than an essay is the path I'm planning on taking it!

I have trouble trying to turn off the academic "voice" in my messages. I feel like that whenever I try to write something, especially for a project, it comes off as academic. But when it comes to something like this, I feel like it's very casual. There's very little in-between. What would you suggest to make my academic voice a bit looser, or my casual voice more professional sounding?

I like seeing the progress I've made over the semester! With all the work I've put into the class and getting to see how my work changes over time is really rewarding! Sometimes it's hard to see the fruits of your labor and how they grew over time, but with the Content Learning Reflection, I'm able to see how I've grown as a writer, and student. Learning how to write on the internet has been a lot of fun and I'm very excited to look back to now in a few years and see how much I've grown since now!

I liked that I got to experience a different form of writing. I probably wouldn't have taken the plunge into social media and posting to blogs if it weren't for this class. Now that I'm posting regularly, I've gotten over my worries and fears about posting online and now I'm posting more frequently in other places! Plus, now, I'm more knowledgeable in areas around the web! So I'm able to take my experiences here and translate them into other areas in my life!

I'm very proud that I have been able to write online. It's always been very daunting to actually post stuff to the internet. I've stayed away from posting with only a photo of a sunset or two on Instagram. Now, I've got dozens of posts on tumblr and it's been a lot of fun! Getting over that fear of posting and actually creating stuff to post on the internet has been really fulfilling and something that I will absolutely continue along with me in the future as I continue on my writing journey.

When writing for this class, I've learned a lot about web writing and how to write in the online space. There is so much more that goes into writing a cohesive work and posting it to the internet. When developing my writing skill further, what next steps should I take to continue my writing skills, or rather, what would be a good source to continue developing my skills in writing?

We are nearing the end of the semester, what questions do you have about naming and transferring the writing skills you developed in this class to real world, real life, work situations?
