So I’ve made a New Years’ resolution to delete the Tumblr app off of my phone entirely. I won’t be on this site as often, this in service of actually maintaining my mental health day to day. In light of this, here's a new pinned.
I’ve never really engaged with Tumblr (or any social media) much outside of scrolling, lurking, reading, consuming. Which is absolutely antithetical to building an online brand, or whatever the fuck a writer is expected to do for free these days. But whenever I summon the urge to try and reach out, to interact, I see the horrid way this site harasses trans women like me, and honest to god, I get so scared. Scared of the hate, the threats, the bans, all of it.
I might be more active on my mastodon and my bluesky in the coming year.
I will add more to my blog in 2026 as I continue to write and think and play.

In Monster Dads, the players take control of classic horror movie monsters - vampires, werewolves, creatures from black lagoons - brought together by a single, common goal: to successfully raise a normal, human child.

"Anonsee, what is Transfeminist Womanism?"
Transfeminist Womanism itself is a synthesis of both eponymous ideologies, seeking to fill the gaps formed within each that often leave out Black trans women - racism within transfeminism, transmisogyny within womanism - when Black trans women are often the people that need those ideologies the most. Transfeminist Womanism is a primarily Abolitionist ideology, finding value in the rhetoric, knowledge, tactics, and tools of anarchism, communism, and other ideologies without falling directly into any of those categories.
Additionally, I've curated a "Foundational" folder that gives guided reading to help understand the underlying principles and thoughts behind Transfeminist Womanism.

Early this year I completed a short tabletop campaign with my local group playing Mausritter, an excellent game where you play little adventuring mice!
I fell in love with the system the moment I read it. It’s dead simple: based on the incredibly evocative and simple ruleset Into The Odd, which also powers last year’s smash hit Mythic Bastionland. Characters have three stats; a small dabbing of HP; no skills; ten slots for weapons, armor, and loot; and nowhere to go but up.
Death comes easily in Mausritter… but so does life, as creating a new character might take three minutes if you’re taking your time.
I spent the better part of a month before our game crafting a fun world for my players to explore: one filled with uptight legionnaires, ancient ruins, swashbuckling pirates, mysterious mages, and enough adventure and peril to keep my players hungry for more week after week. Once I finished the game—one of the best I’ve run—I had the idea to pull all my notes together, polish them up, fill in the corners my players didn’t explore, and publish it as a standalone adventure.
I call it Stormfallow.

As a teaser, here’s Stormfallow's narrative introduction; the scene new player mice will experience right at the start of the adventure:
You flee the perilous Grimalkin Empire. The Iron Claws of the Empress have a long reach, indeed, and for mice who live under her paws, life is cheap. But across the sea, it is said mice live free of such oppression. Across the sea, whole communities stand together against their predators. Across the sea, endless possibilities await.
You took ship, then; you and four dozen mice refugees led by the fearless Mouse Captain Lanniford. You were packed into the lower decks of an aging merchant Galleon: the good ship Promise. Captain Lanniford said the passage would last two weeks. Two long weeks on the wild and merciless Sea of Serpents before you’d be cast onto a brighter shore, free to live as mice were meant to.
It was five days since you left port—five days of calm—before the storm found you.
It came from a clear sky; some of you were on deck when the cry went up. “Batten the hatches! Seek shelter below!” Captain Lanniford stood firm against the sudden onslaught of waves twice as tall as his good ship Promise. You hid below the deck as the mighty wind and waves tossed the ship about like a giant’s plaything.
Then, a cry of hope. “Land, ho!” There was a flash of white and a noise like the hammer of the gods as the ship sheared in two. In that instant, all safety was torn from you. Escaping the wooden coffin the ship had become, you emerged into night, but for the first time in nearly a week, your little paws bless you as they pad across firm, dry ground. Behind you, the good ship Promise lies broken against high cliffs. Ahead waits an unknown land.
The storm, too, is behind you. But the fearless Captain Lanniford is nowhere to be seen.

Y'know how the Agents could turn over anyone who isn't Unplugged™️? How every faceless person in the movie could become someone intent on hunting down and killing trans women Neo and the rest of the unplugged humans? You are that person. Society will use you and your blind spots to harm trans women.
Y'know how towards the end of the movie, Cypher betrayed everyone so he could plug back in and enjoy the relative comfort of a life without knowing about the Matrix? You can do that. You always have that option. Society will always reward you for turning on trans women.
You can also just be an Agent, full stop. You can make it your life's work to ruin the lives of trans women, and Society will reward you for it.
I can't be any of these things. I can't plug back in. I can't go back in the closet. I can't unsee the way me and my sisters are treated. My only two options are live and fight, or die.
I feel like I have to treat everyone around me like one of the three things you can be. I cannot and will not feel safe around you until you prove to me that you are Unplugged™️. And to be unplugged is to fight.
You have to make your own life more uncomfortable by actively fighting transmisogyny even when there are no trans women around you. If you can't do that, you are not safe for me.
Living outisde of The Matrix is hard. It's uncomfortable. You need to be ready, willing, and able to deal with that discomfort. Otherwise, you're just an agent of the system waiting to happen.
There is no way to be passive and to be safe for trans women. You have to be a traitor to the system.

there was zero chemistry between the main couple, the plot was a string of "wouldn't it be cool if" that never congealed into anything resembling an emotional arc... like, I love yuri as much as the next lesbian but did we watch the same movie??
i’m not one of those “never crack a book’s spine” sorts of people but i will say none of my books have cracked spines simply because i’ve never found i need to open a book that wide to read it? like how exactly are y’all reading books that your spines crack even the books i deeply love have regular uncracked spines because i don’t flatiron each page down as i go???
For me, it's ADHD. I gotta be doing something with my hands while I read, and hey, if I have a physical book in my hands, it's the unlucky Object I'm doing Things to.
