Conflict Breeds Catastrophe

For those on mobile or can’t find my rules page! The most important of them are these: 

1) I do not rp with any muses under the age of 21

2) I do not play with female only blogs of any kind 

3) I do not play with just my males. So if you have interest in one of my males, you must play with one of my females too. I will not reply to a starter response to one of my males without seeing a response to a female. (If I feel like you’re just replying to one of my girls just so you can have one of my boys, I’m probably going to be a little anxious about it. I may lose muse if I feel like my female is getting less attention.)

I have this rule because I feel very used for my males and I don’t care for it. My blog my decision. I will always in order girl, boy, girl boy or boy, girl, boy, girl depending on where you start in the rotation so if you don’t reply to a lady, you won’t get another reply from the dude.

“I do try.” Winn hadn’t been on a date in a long time. He had been so focused on work, throwing himself into new inventions and ideas. Things that were easier to focus on and swallow than the fact that his life was constantly getting throw around. but with Wanda, it was different. It was easier, he was happy. “Just means I get to spend more time with you.”

“I’m glad you like my Star Wars shirt, because I happen to have an entire collection of them.” Blush crept up on his cheeks as he felt her lips on his cheek. They were really going on a date, this was real. He all but ran home and started going through his closet. He had a lot of button down shirts that he wore for work, but this was special. Instead he grabbed one of his nice white dress shirts and matched it with a navy blue tie and slacks. After making sure his hair looked okay, he grabbed his keys and made his way to the restaurant. His heart stopped as he saw Wanda standing outside, freezing in place as his brain rebooted. “Wanda, you look amazing.”

“Ramen shop? A woman after my own heart.” He laughed. “I will be there. I’ll even ditch my Star Wars shirt and wear something nice.” Of course he loved his Star Wars shirt and he was sure that Wanda wouldn’t actually mind that he was wearing it. But it was about the effort.

She was asking him out? It took his brain a moment to fully process what was being said. Not because he thought she was joking or something. But because he hadn’t really ever been asked out before. “Yeah I would like that. A lot actually.”

“Just as long as you don’t try to set me up with Mary the neighbor down the hall, I’m pretty sure I’ve gone through our options and I’m not looking for a mate,” he teased, but in reality he got along well with Natasha. Her sense of humor was working with his.

“Don’t worry, I’ve given up trying to set you up for the time being. When you find the right girl, just don’t blow it, Rogers.” Natasha teased right back and leaned against the wall to look out the window instead of over at the super soldier. “Do you remember.. That time I kissed you? Crazy right?” 

“Oh yeah?” He asked, wiggling his eyebrows with a laugh as he looked at her. “I’ll keep that in mind.” Winn wasn’t someone that most people fell for, but with Wanda it was different. He didn’t trust people, especially after the fall of SHIELD. It took him a long time to get here, but now that he was here, it was worth all of it. He would do it again.

“No one actually knows anything.” Winn shrugged, as he looked out at the world around them. People were walking down the street past them, cars being a little louder than they needed to be. “I don’t know if you would want to call it a widow for hire. Maybe more badass woman can can on anyone to protect you. 100% customer satisfaction.”

“What can I say, I’m kind of great.” He laughed. The kiss was welcome, and it took Winn a moment to recover from it. He always knew that he fell for people fast, and his friendship with Wanda was one that he wanted to protect. Yet right now, it felt just right. To be here with her. This close. “You have no idea how long I’ve been wanting to do that.”

“Exactly so.”

Jaskier trudged easily through the snow to the main building of Kaer Morhen.  The main room was nice and warm, thanks to the large fire cooking breakfast.  Geralt had gone out to do the same for Ciri as he had done for Yelena, and shortly thereafter, Ciri was inside, wrapped in layers of warm clothes.

It seemed that life in the Tardis suited Ciri.  But Jaskier doubted that Geralt would agree to travel with them.

“So, it looks like we have oatmeal and bacon for breakfast.”

Yelena stepped down from her place on his back and though she wasn’t bundled, she was more than okay how she was. Her skin just wasn’t sensitive, not after all of her training. Even in a building made of stone in the dead of winter. 

Gathering a bowl of food, she took a seat next to Jaskier and took a bite or two. It didn’t have much flavor but it wasn’t a big deal. The bacon was good at least. 

Jaskier gasped into the kiss.  He hadn’t expected it.  Yelena didn’t seem the overly affectionate type.  But he took the affection and he kissed her back just as deeply as she kissed him.

When it was over, he smiled softly down at her before kissing the tip of her nose.

“You…are amazing.”

But outside it’s freezing, and the snow is about six inches deep.

“Did not expect this much snow overnight.  Hop on my back.  We’ll keep your feet dry.”

Yelena didn’t really know how to do this lover thing. But she knew she’d enjoyed kissing him the night before, and this morning it just seemed that much better. The kiss was deeper, it held more passion. But it didn’t last very long. 

“Thank you,” Yelena chortled softly and stepped back to walk toward the exit with him. The snow was deep but she’d never feared the snow before. 

“You think this worrie-” 

It wasn’t about the snow.. Jaskier must have just wanted her close. So she stopped her protest and did as he said, she moved behind him and hopped up on his back with her legs pressed to his sides and her face in the crook of his neck. 

Taking the lead, Winn started walking as he opened the door and waited for her to leave the building first before he followed after her. “You don’t have to use the skillset if you don’t want to. Just maybe don’t work retail.” He teased slightly, smiling. “Although private security would be pretty badass, heaven knows how many people would want to hire you.”

As her lips touched his cheek, Winn reached out and rested his forehead against hers. He needed just a moment with her, with just the two of them. Pretending that the rest of the world wasn’t there. “I’ll always be here to remind you.” His voice was softer, smiling slightly. “Every day.”
