In order to be considered a soulmate, my soul has to feel something it’s never felt before. It has to feel like the world has stopped everytime I feel this person. For a long time I only believed that you could only have one soulmate, but unfortunately I’ve been in love twice and I referred to them both as my soulmate..simply because I truly believed at the time that they were, but looking back, it’s now clear to me that they were not. There was certain criteria that needed to be met, that wasn’t…with that being said, I do still believe my soulmate exists and eventually I will find them and they’ll find me. Understanding who I truly am as a human being, accepting my flaws and really loving me for who I am.

However I do believe depending on the TYPE of relationship you have with a person, they could be your soulmate in a different way. My 2 best friends lights up my whole world when they are around. Everyone can see how much we glow around each other. As far as friends go…these two are my soulmates in friendship. When it comes to family, my grandparents are my soulmates…they’re the reason I am the way I am. They raised me. They love me for EVERYTHING I am and EVERYTHING I am not.

I was iffy the first time I heard this song because I’m accustomed to the Maybach Music series featuring heavy hitters like Jay-Z, Wayne, T.I, etc. So when I saw Dej Loaf’s name I was like ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. 

But after subsequent listens, this is the best shit on the entire album. 

This is a beautiful ode to Hood Love and couples who fuck with each other to the heaviest extent.
