It was supposed to be LILAC... the only reason it was briefly purple on the end for a while, was because I dyed it, let it settle then washed out any excess on a 30 degree wash.
Sadly, after it dried and settled again, it went back to mostly pink with a slight hint of purple

Sometimes I still hear my voice
It been a while since I've been here (had a whole load of irl stuff to deal with) and that usually means a manic crafting spree.
So here's a photo dump of everything I've made over December/January

Calliope corset WIP
Design and pattern is my own that I draped first, then transferred to paper.
It features a beautiful bust gore and s-bend shaped silhouette over the hips with a petal shaped bottom edge. Made from 100% silk dupion I can't get again.
Okay it actually really bothers me that there's a number of people who think that "found family" is just a trope in fiction or something that started with fiction. That is a real term for a real thing that real queer people do and HAVE been doing for years and years, way before it started getting picked up by mainstream media and consequently bastardized beyond recognition.
It absolutely isn't "people meeting by chance and going on an adventure together" unless you mean that as a metaphor for the "adventure" of coming out and rebuilding your life from that point, often without the support of biological family.
There's some overlap here with other groups like trauma and abuse survivors, but it's originally a term coined and defined by queer people, and it isn't meant to be an exact replica of the nuclear family structure BECAUSE many of us were traumatized by that exact thing.
Your found family (aka family of choice) includes your mentors, your friends and your lovers. Anyone you choose and who in turn chooses you. If you and another person decide your relationship feels like a sibling or parental one that's great, but it's completely besides the point of found family.
This post brought to you by a conversation I had with an extremely straight coworker where he mentioned "The Found Family Trope" in a discussion about movies and it was immediately apparent that he had absolutely no idea where that term came from or what it really meant.
Actually quick correction. I should have said "family of origin" up there instead of "biological family" because of course adoptive families may not be supportive either and they're often just as nuclear in structure.
I cannot emphasize enough that the real meaning of found family is about personal choice and freedom from strictly defined roles and expectations.

Today I relapsed and made (I mean finished) another set of stays!!! But it's fine....

BECAUSE!!!! They're MULTIFUNCTIONAL and will be worn for my Laudna cosplay and other things. (But also I just really need stays in every colour I love). So now I have two hybrid stays/corsets. One of them is LEAFY 🍃 and the other is well... THIS ONE!!!! Mwuahahahahahahaha
She's my badass babygirl no.2
Her name is Ny'ma, aka "Irony" and she's not here to play or listen to bullshit. She's my Duskblade/Godslayer multiclassing maestro.
Her backstory is that she serves Asmodeus, but undercover because she actually plans to see his downfall. (What with being a godslayer and all that). For a time she was friends with Oberon (another OC of mine) while they both served Asmodeus; at least until Ny'ma saw that Oberon is still trapped and having to serve Asmodeus as part of his contract.
Wanting to help her friend, Ny'ma sets out trying to find a loophole is Oberons contract and for a brief period they both form a small rebel faction wanting change. Until both Oberon and Ny'ma get caught by the Nautiloid while out doing two separate missions for their small faction.
Ny'ma currently does not trust Gale because she can see his ambition might be a problem, and she is not sure whether or not to trust Shadowheart.
I don't know where she'll go or what ambitions/goals she has for herself, but oh boy, will she have the time of her life.
