Blending in was one of the hardest parts about this stupid Earth mission and this stupidย โkeep an eye on Zimโ duty that he had been put on. Of course, he had to be the one to deal with it. Of course. Why wouldnโt it be the actual leader who was in charge of diplomatic reasoning? That wouldnโt make sense. Was he bitter that his co-ruler wasnโt the one stuck with this job? A little bit. Drawing attention to himself though was something he was trying to avoid.
That was why he kept to back alleys, avoided talking to people when not necessary, and tried to avoid going out if need be. Of course, his cover as a school teacher made itโฆharder for him to just stay quietly to himself. But, it was a good cover!ย
And when he felt those eyes staring at him, he would try to ignore it. If he just ignored it they wouldnโt approach him. He could just simply move on with his life and be fine. That was often the case, people stared because of his height and he had learned to accept it. He was an almighty tallest afterall, they should be thankful to be in his tall presence!ย
But then she talked. And his nose would scrunch up at that, god this was the first human to actually approach him when he made active efforts to ignore it. Teeth would grit and he would turn to face the source of the voice. Who was this short, sassy child that was lost? A brow would raise at her question.
โ A coffin? No, iโm certainly not dead. I havenโt spent any amount of time in a coffin. โ He would pause, confused look on his face. Just what was she implying? Was she on to him not being Human? He hoped she wasnโt.ย โ Iโm just a perfectly regular, normal human teacher. I donโt sleep in coffins, I sleep on a couch like everyone else.ย โ
Well he certainly put up a convincing argument. Yet, the young girl was not convinced - far from it. Her eyes remained squinted, taking on a more scrutinising role as she intrusively observed his every feature, all the while walking to the opposite side of him with her hands hid behind her back. Her face was devoid of doubt; a scowl and an arched eyebrow revealing this. Her authoritative act could have payed tribute to any headmaster/student confrontation, except in this case, the heights were switched. Vix could not care less how much shorter she was - she still felt like the bigger person.

Each sentence marked a weakness. A weakness that applied specifically towardย vampires. You know, the species of supernatural, bloodthirsty humanoids with sharp fangs and capes? Those ones! Surely enough, Vix noticed that the tall man before her shared a considerable amount of these traits - he wore a cape and had sharp teeth. That was no coincidence! If one thing was going to be achieved here, it would be getting this stranger to confirm her suspicion.ย
Vix silently slipped her cell out of her black purse, the action concealed by her back. Her thumb, without support of sight, was familiar enough with the location of each app on the screen to operate without. As soon as she was sure it was hovering over the flashlight, she softened her expression and spared him a small, sweet smile.ย
โOui, I am veryย certain you are indeed a normal โuman being. So now zhat weโve established zhat, you can...BURN UNDER ZE BLARING LIGHT OF YOUR VAMPIRE DEMISE YOU VILE BEAST!โ She screeches psychotically, abruptly whipping out the phone from behind her back and aiming the flashlight directly into the manโs eyes.ย
