Victory is Mine

Schools in my area did a monthly Teacher’s Planning Day where kids were expected to to do e-learning from home. It counted as an absence if the child didn’t get their work in. They claimed that people without home internet could go to a library and use it for free, so there was no excuse to not do it

This didn’t change until they had to declare a snow day. Parents argued that if they can’t get to school they can’t get to the library. The school board agreed that children shouldn’t be put at risk driving on unsafe roads to get to the library and they needed a non-internet option for snow days. Then parents pointed out how easy it would be to extend that option to all e-learning and renewed their complaint that if they needed a school bus to get their kids to school they couldn’t be expected to get them to a library

Students now have the option of taking home a print-out packet of work to do so they wont be marked absent

you can create things and inspire people. Your impact will last beyond your existence.

there are so many books to read, games to play, and movies to fall in love with.

you might develop new interests that brighten your life.

there are beautiful people out there and friends to make. Most people will not screw you over.

after all of this, you will become the wisest being alive.

you can learn to do absolutely anything, thanks to the internet.

concerts, events and performances which will inspire you.
