Macross Saga

That’s some interesting info we’re getting from it:

- Confirmation that Windermere had nothing to do with the dimensional bomb. Lord Andria, the former White Knight, leader of the independent troops under King Gramia and also member of  Kawamori’s favorite heroes, SMS (he was one of the people who helped Frontier it seems when they asked for help - he shot down to of Galaxy’s Lucifers, just to show he’s meant to be heroic instead of a Vajra killer) ordered his troops to intercept the VF traveling to Carsile. They didn’t know it was a dimensional eater carrier, they simply assumed it was a regular bomber. Twelve years old Keith and Thirteen years old Roid were ordered to fly higher to intercept any upcoming crafts. They all were caught up in the explosion and died. Keith and Roid were miraculous survivors for their orders of flying in high altitude, but they crashed and the experience scarred them for life. Keith flashbacks at this to not let that happen ever again before a mission.

- Confirmation that the NUNS higher ups and NUNG are unscrupulous 100% bad guys in the cluster. They wanted to control all of Windermere to take their fold quartz, set a puppet government and even assassinated one of their own people from Earth who was looking into the trade and negotiation with Windermere, denouncing the obvious corruption and bad treatment after the war. He turned up dead floating in a river because he ‘accidently fell’ when he was drunk (even if he never drank alcohol). 

- Semi confirmation Epsilon are anti-NUNS remnants: they provided Windermere their weapons and technology, among them the SV series (which anti UNS use in Macross Zero). So this was probably first their typical tug fight with some native place caught in it, IMO. Before Roid decided to screw with both of them, IMO.

- Aisha of Macross 30 is part of Chaos now, as a researcher, so she quit SMS (who knows). She has some line with Hayate in the novel about how important is for him to have a fold quartz and his affinity with a singer. Mirage reports what’s happening to Freyja and Hayate to her, she’s kind of observing them collecting data for Aisha. They are referred as test subjects alpha and beta.
