the censorship/editing of YGO cards from the OCG to the TCG is so fuckin funny to me because a card's OCG art can have like the smallest and least noticeable cleavage imaginable in it and fuckin konami will still get their artists to edit it to cover up the cleavage for the TCG version of the artwork

you cannot fucking convince me that just keeping the OCG art unchanged for the TCG wouldn't have been 100% a-okay for this game suggested for ages 6+, come on

Recently we learned about how some trans folks in Japan like to use tigers as a symbol for the trans community. It's a pun: Tora [虎] is the Japanese word for tiger, and when you sound out "trans" in katakana it basically starts with "tora." To-ra-n-su [トランス].
Toransu is clearly a loan word from English ("trans") that has been adapted to Japanese pronunciation (adding vowels/vowel epenthesis helps you avoid unpronounceable consonant clusters).

Fandom Problem #15,293:
I have been in fandoms on this hellsite for years now. I have never been popular, never made it onto any rec lists, never been chosen for anything during fandom events, always get ignored when people offer to draw OCs and they ask people to message them if interested, and I have never once broken more than 15 notes.
But I have close mutuals that care about my work! Actual real friends who give a shit and who have been there for me when life got really tough! They not only support my passion project, but they're there for me as a person too. It helps keep my fire going to continue my work.
And that is something I would never, ever trade for popularity.
