I personally love a McSpirk dynamic of Bones gettin loved on by Jim and Spock but I do not fw the fics that make him out to be smaller than them by a significant amount.

Fics that call him scrawny or bony, fics that write him shorter than Jim, fics that seem to forget Jim is the only one of the three who isn't a very hairy man under the uniform etc. Dr McCoy gets a bit thinner in the films due to being older but if you're setting that shi during the five year mission I beg you look closer at his arms, shoulders and side profile. We do not need to twinkify a man for him to be sandwiched between two men who are more muscular. That is all.

Guys…………. In the episode contagion data just sticks his arm into the iconian gateway thingy without thinking or knowing if it would hurt him….. there’s that one time in that one episode that I don’t remember the name of where he just called himself expendable specifically because he’s an android……….. half the time he’s not considered sentient by those outside the enterprise…………..he gets (essentially) misgendered constantly (people calling him it/its) (I know I know it was that 90s and ppl called him that in the show because they don’t consider him sentient but like. Consider)…………. he literally says he might not have a mind to read in the episode tin man…………. Not even getting into the books like ghost ship etc……………………. He didn’t have a friend at all until he met Geordi……… that’s like 20 years……..he entered the academy at 3 years old……………..his daughter literally dies because of one man’s inability to take no for an answer and the man never gets punished………….datas only reason (pretty much) for being given any amount of respect for much of his life was because he was very very very very useful…………in encounter at farpoint he apologizes for talking to much (commenting on scientific phenomena [his literal job is mostly Science])…………………… he ALMOST KILLS HIS BEST FRIEND because he got his lifelong dream (he already had emotions but whatevs)………………..he also got kidnapped that one time………………………….he had to GO TO COURT to prove he’s sentient…………………………and he was semi-canonically suicidal in the past (some stupid android equivalent because the writers are COWARDS /hj)…………… guys his mental health MUST be shit. Bro is NOT coping. Whump/Angst writers take notes /silly

It sucks there seems to be a concerted effort to distance the transfem and transmasc communities from each other. If it weren’t for trans women, I probably wouldn’t have realized I was trans until much later in life.
