I don't mean to complain I think Sam Witwer has a pretty large different interpretation of Sith philosophy and who+/what Maul is. Also he clearly just misses TFU and shouldn't be anywhere near a writer's room.

There are some things known+/assumed about what would've been TFU 3 and I'm gonna speculate, sorta talk on that all a bit.

What we know for sure is the game would've been Vader and the Starkiller clone working together against Palpatine. To what extent or even why we dunno. Gonna make massive assumptions from now on based on the ending+/what is known from TFU 2.

One thing I've heard, dunno how true this was, but Boba Fett following the captured Vader in the canon ending was hired by the Emperor. Not to rescue Vader, to wipe out him and the Starkiller clone. I think Boba would take the job, shoot them down but wouldn't finish either. Hed merely make it look like a solid attempt so he gets paid before turning to his "prey" and giving them the warning. I imagine this particularly rubbing Boba the wrong way because the Emperor would likely phrase it as "Execute Order 66". He'd only view Boba as a Clone Trooper, when he never was.

The Emperor would have a new apprentice that Vader and the Starkiller Clone need to fight. Who? This fucker. Hes still totally unexplained even within the dark ending. Within the light side ending we have no reason to assume he died, we just have a rogue Sith running out there. Maybe the Lord Starkiller alt-ending cutscenes (not the DLC) was perspective of this character after being defeated by the Jedi-Starkiller-Clone? Idk man. Fan fiction.

In the film The Phantom Menace, Anakin never gets a clear look at Darth Maul. Hes aware someone clad in dark is attacking Qui-Gon on Tattooine and that Jedi are doing something on Naboo, but both times his priority is getting on a ship. Hes 9, hes not really paying attention.

So this creates a situation where Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are alone with Maul while Anakins off flying around. Qui-Gon dies via lightsaber stab wound. Qui-Gon dies via the weapon Anakin states earlier in the film "only Jedi carry" while with Obi-Wan who has repeatedly been shown to talk bad about Anakin to Qui-Gon in front of Anakin.

"But Anakin would know Maul killed him" with what. A lack of a corpse? As far as I'm aware Anakin should have no problem believing Obi-Wan killed Qui-Gon, and at the very least, this could have been something Palpatine said to manipulate Anakin.

RotS could have a scene where Palpa plants the idea to Anakin "Hey Qui-Gon was murdered by a Jedi weapon and the only guy to see the killer was Obi-Wan. You and Obi-Wan always get into sword fights together but you've never ever once encountered this Darth Maul, even after he came back from the dead. Or maybe Maul didnt do that and it's all a lie or whatever. Weird right?" or something idk I'm not dialogue guy. Obi-Wan could having PTSD about losing Qui-Gon, since Dooku is now dead (assuming he still dies at the start of RotS) Obi-Wan fully has to grasp that he is all that remains of his former master. How he couldn't save him on battle, how he was the first Jedi to defeat a Sith in 1,000 years but couldn't do it fast enough.

This creates an opportunity where at the end of the film, when fighting, Anakin could claim something like "It's your fault Qui-Gon died" clearly meaning "You killed him" and Obi-Wan would respond with an earnest honest guilt, "Youre right, I'm sorry" which Anakin would clearly misunderstand.

Maul, not Dooku, killed Sifo-Dyas.

My evidence? Dooku never actually claimed to have been the one to kill him on screen. He only alluded to the suggestion he was.

Dooku? As revealed in Tales of the Jedi is aware of Maul prior to the events of the TPM. Maul is confident enough in his skill to kill Jedi. Sifo-Dyas died around the events of TPM, but Dooku couldn't have killed him. During the events of The Phantom Menace Dooku is setting up Kamino with Dyas's library card, hiring bounty hunters and setting up the cloning facilities on Kamino.

"Oh but Dooku having that means he killed Sifo-Dyas!"

Dooku also seemed against actually killing Jedi during TotJ.

Plus Maul is unaccounted for during the events of TPM until the main characters go to Tatooine. What was he doing? Probably killing Sifo-Dyas. Makes sense to me. Maul grabs the library card off the corpse, gives it to Sidious who gives it to Dooku.

I'm sure there's some comic where Grievous killed him. I dont care this is my headcanon until we see Sifo-Dyas die on screen.

Vader just wasn't that good of a duelest so he still lost limbs. Then later unfortunately also caught fire. To Palpatine, Kenobi and Yoda are atomized. Both dead.

This explains his annoyance with the matter in the *Obi-Wan Kenobi* show. Vader's babbling on about how Kenobi showed up, beat the shit outta Vader and then disallowed. Palpatine is just beyond over hearing about Vader's repeating nightmare. Before Vader didn't believe he defeated Kenobi on Lava World, despite Palps giving Vader a fucking robot body. Vader claims he burried Obi-Wan under a mountain with his Force power. Maybe this time Vader actually accepts he's dead. Except, nah, Vader's still reliving his surgery nightmare fucking years later. Wussy. "You seen agitated. I wonder if your thoughts are clear on this, Lord Vader. Perhaps your feelings for your old master have left you weakened. If your past cannot be overcome..?"

Then comes Alderaan. Vader sees a planet blow up, future of the Empire is secure.. Oh great, now he's claiming Kenobi appeared on the Death Star a few hours before the station blew up. Well, at least this time Vader finally accepts Kenobi is dead.

Oh fuck, now he's saying Kenobi's final words related to him becoming more powerful. Then some nobody blew up the Death Star. Vader's PTSD nightmares are creating bad mojo in the Empire. Seems like little orphan Annie can't get over his mommy. The son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi.

Although to do so is to ignore the fact that the Jedi were never actually beacons of good and justice. They were kinda asshole space cops. Green Lanterns who never left Oa, except they did even less and lost more fights. Anakin literally turns evil to keep things the same, Luke fights evil to bring change. Rey specifically fights for the betterment of others, not specifically for an end goal or to conserve something ancient.

The show sets up the idea that...they were neighbors. Obi-Wan wasn't teaching Luke or anything, they just knew one another casually. It leaves open a lot of cute little ideas, short stories or mini-comics where Luke helps his elderly neighbor shop and learns a quick little lesson about kindness and friendship. The only thing g Obi-Wan can't tell Luke before the events of ANH is that he's a Jedi. Stuff some weird neighborhood old named Ben wouldn't be saying anyway.

Wheres this cartoon Filoni you coward. It could be like a 70s Shazam tv deal. "Young Luke and his Mentor".

I'm currently on my fourth Zahn book: Thrawn Ascendancy Lesser Evil.

It's hard. These books aren't... Great?

Outbound Flight was phenomenal. I really enjoyed it, I outright loved it. I actually think the double feature reading of Outbound Flight and Darth Plagueis (opposite order to how I read them) made me like the prequels..? It's weird to think about but yeah I've now jumped ship. I like those movies narratives, they're still not great movies.

Thrawn Ascendancy Chaos Rising was cute. It was really cute, I enjoyed the cute character moments and the deeper lore to Chiss society. Felt like the universe was actually growing, it's what Star Wars books need in world building.

Thrawn Ascendancy Greater Good isn't great. I must be an idiot but it felt like this book gave up on it's central ethical dilemma halfway through. There was a subplot about a psychic infiltrating Chiss society and I really enjoyed that. I imagine it being like if a real earth person was placed on the Jedi Temple. We think of the Jedi as mystical warrior but like...they can't all be? They'd have to be like normal people sometimes. At least, that's what the book says with Chiss. These Ascendancy books are overly long in an overly painful way. After this one I had to stop. A break I haven't yet come back from.

Darth Bane Path of Destruction is what I read next. It's...probably the most sexist horny book ever written. Not great. I didn't dislike it, the books very easy to read and digest, it's written very well. I don't know, Plagueis is sort of everything I ever wanted in a Sith novel. I always had this image in my head of Darth Bane being a smart guy who reasonably came to the conclusion of the rule of two. Instead he's just a fucking crazy-murder-man who randomly thinks to do the SW equivalent to shooting his school. Like I don't understand why or like the character. Dear Lord, please let James Luceno write a proper book about Sidious. I need to know papa-Palp.

*Mandalorian season 3* wasn't great but had a good ending.

*Ahsoka* could be better with season 2 but rn it was all fan service.

*Mandalorian season 2* or as I call it; *Mandalorian and Friends*, disappointing but still good follow up to what should've been a great, fresh, simple start.

*The Acolyte* is just the narrative if the prequels but good and has amazing acting.

*Skeleton Crew* IF YOU HAVE FRIENDS WHO AREN'T INTO STAR WARS, OR ARE WANTING TO GR IN YOURSELF; START. WITH. *SKELETON CREW*.

*Mandalorian season 1* man this show has so much potential. I go back and rewatch season 1 quite a bit. Amazing first season. Too bad it became a cameo-fest.
