so..i’ve been doing some reading on The Havamal ..and i’m loving it. but then i read something that hit me deep :

A man is happy if he finds praise and friendship within himself. You can never be sure of where you stand in someone else’s heart.

"The Binding of Fenrir"

This Nordic piece was done as a commission for a group working on a project of viking origins. In the illustration we have the wolf Fenrir, bound by the gods, and Tyr on the right, who lost a hand in his betrayal of tricking Fenrir. On the upper left we have Odin, Thor, Loki and the Dwarf who crafted the chains. A sword has been put through the mouth of Fenrir as punishment and a river flows down from his saliva. I have Fenrir looking up to the sun, as its prophesied that the wolf will swallow the sun at the end of times war, Ragnarok.
