he was my first lvl x card and i was so excited to show it to all my friends at school the following monday but it went missing RIGHT after my friend left my house on sunday morning.

my friend wasnt allowed to have pokemon cards because they came from a highly christian household that thought pokemon was satanic. (it was late 2000s) we looked around my room for hours, rearranged everything, and eventually my parents confronted theirs. nothing. over the years they would get a nervous look whenever i brought the card up lamenting about it so im 100% sure they stole the card and hid it insanely well in their own house. i dont really hold it against them anymore because their parents were suffocating and even tried to convince ME that pokemon was satanic and i should drop it and i get they probably just got jealous that i was able to enjoy something they couldnt.

well cut to 2026 this card is $100 now and i saved up money hoping i can find it at the local card show this weekend. because everyone around is selling mostly hyper modern a lot of people looked at us weird when we showed them this card from 2008. so i ended up just buying a bunch of smaller cards and hoping i can find it next card show with a few more paychecks.

nope mom figured out how to use TCGplayer and bought it MP for $70.
