You've heard of Rocky giving Grace cuteness aggression, but I raise you Grace giving Rocky cuteness aggression - but specifically in the way that you see a dog that’s so ugly that it becomes the cutest thing of all time. Grace is gross and squishy and leaky and he'll do literally anything and Rocky will have to fight the urge to squeeze him and hold him and sing the Eridian equivalent of 'aww.' Grace is that nasty crusty smelly dog you see at the animal shelter that you immediately want to take home because you know nobody else will want it. He snores in his sleep and Rocky has to try not to squeal.

They say ooooh be a good boy for daddy and you'll get a reward. But then the reward is just gay sex. This is bullshit. I wanted a skateboard

Then they say if you're a bad boy daddy will punish you. But what's the punishment? More gay sex! You can't escape it. This whole damn place is in the pocket of Big Sex

When Grace inevitably dies on Erid they build him a statue. It is grand in that it is not towering, but built methodically with the utmost love respect and care. Adrian and Rocky oversee it’s construction and they ensure the Grace depicted not as a godlike saviour but a silly little space blob who taught their planets pebbles about relativity and who learnt to speak a language not made for his body. They make sure he is seen to be kind and brave. Lastly, they ensure an Eridian is carved with him so he will always have someone to watch him sleep.

does anyone else think about how brave all their friends are and get really emotional about it

i like how all the movie critiques are 90% "rocky comes off too innocent and it doesnt correctly get across that hes very smart" and its true. but saying that the movie fandom correctly intuited hes a bitch and a pervert anyway whos mentally ill and overwhelmingly possessive of this leaky space blob and that "bad bad bad" DEFINITELY means "FUCK FUCK FUCK"

can't stop thinking about how andy weir said that rocky is essentially baby talking to grace the entire time because the way he normally speaks is too advanced for their makeshift translator to understand (which makes sense, there is a limited amount of words inputted). so basically the entire time we've been treating rocky as if he's one of the dogs from "up", the ones with the collar that outputs their thoughts in human language. we've been treating rocky like a pet. when actually, rocky has been talking to ryland like a puppy the entire time.... even before y'alls fanon of ryland becoming rocky and adrian's pet human in his zoo enclosure.

i appreciate the amount of people reblogging this despite me not really tagging this at all. im glad many of people feel the same anger i do.
