this is a wip of Luthien i'm doing for a friend, it's just the first layer that i freshly did today and i was like, yay i have a wip to share now xD heavy modifications to be made once the paint dries

If I have to pick one....... I think it would be graphite āļø
a close second is oil paint because it's fast, it has colors, it's a lot more expressive, and it's really forgiving imo
graphite wins because it needs a lot less set up time, makes less of a mess, I'm still the most familiar with it, and it's easier to control (and I can make bigbig drawings as well as smallsmall sketches!) and to me it's good for practicing forms or light and darks etc the technical stuff; without having to think much about the medium/how it likes to act

if you want to know their names, or are ready to look at repetitive information, they are: Lirien, Taer, Idhrenes, Faelon, CĆon, Calithil, Pethron, Pelinel, Deliel, and Nemir.
(I have 15+ other named, inactive ocs from various fandoms (do some of the "fandoms" even exist lol) including lotr, and one original story kind of, but they are inactive and underdeveloped so we'll ignore them for now XD)
in addition to that, there are a bunch of unnamed people related to my active, named ocs either literally or story-wise, (or related to some crazy canon character AU we and/or I have). Lemme count: Lirien's parents and grandma (3); Taer's parents, unnamed female lieutenant, and (actually named but he's just as undeveloped as unnamed) Meren, Taer's mentor (4); Idhrenes's adopted dad, biological dad, adopted aunt, potential best friend (4), Faelon's younger brother (1), at least one other Guard of Menegroth (1), CĆon's wife also Calithil's mom, and her older sister (2); unnamed kid that got rescued by Lirien&Taer shortly before First Battle of Beleriand and later specialized in crafts with leather (1); Deliel's potential best friend, Deliel's sort of adopted daughter (2); Beleg's Menegroth roommate&fellow marchwarden friend (I think he's there purely out of world building reasons (that probably doesn't even make sense but oh well)), (in one of the AUs) Beleg's parents and the elf maiden that kept Beleg alive after parents were gone, (another AU) Beleg's mom (when the dad is Thingol), (in a very crazy Lion King AU) a captain Beleg served under (he's actually also named but let's pretend he's unnamed because I didn't properly finalize(?) the name), (in a villian!Saeros AU) at least three marchwardens that went on a mission with Beleg (9); (in one of my crazy AUs) Mablung's parents, younger sister and brother, (in another AU that I think I've abandoned by now lol) Mablung's wife and son (6).
Total of 33 OMG!!! But all those guys are unnamed because I don't have sufficient backstories, personalities, and stories (if at all) for them other than they appeared in already existing characters' lives in a more or less memorable way, to declare "they are my ocs!". So each of them are like 0.1 of an oc lollll basically don't really count?
