Where has everyone gone?
A-Are you okay?
Well…let’s hear it.
" Wh-What is a superhero's favorite part of the joke? The p-punch line! "
"What might that be?"
"Wh-What did Cinderella say when she left the photo store? Someday my prints will come!"

"I have a funny joke."
"Someone help, I don’t know how this happened, or who did it."
"I-- uh-- d-did you... did you steal the bed or something? O-Or did you try to walk i-in your sleep? C-Could that... could that be it?"
Thanks, love.

Judging by how vague she was in her response, Trevor guessed that she didn’t want to go into detail. From what he understood, Lydia wasn’t usually a secretive person so, he assumed she had a good reason for the sudden change. Though he was slightly disappointed she didn’t feel she could share anything with him, he hoped there was a good reason for it. Really, he was just glad she was back.
As she wiped her eyes, it was obvious that she was in no condition to be near an open flame that most meals would need. Exhaling a bit of a laugh, he offered,"How about you put your things away and I bring the food to you? It’d be sort of like a breakfast in bed…except not breakfast."He explained, chuckling lightly and shaking his head at his own weak explanation. This way, Lydia might be able to have a bit of a nap and if he finished cooking fast enough, he might be able to help with putting things away. His smile faded as he noticed the scar on her arm, but he quickly recovered with a convincing fake smile and few would have noticed he reacted at all. It seemed everyone here had secrets so, why should he think Lydia to be an exception to that? Still, knowing she was keeping something from him, stung, but not quite as much as it looked like the scar Jason had left. In a warm tone, he asked, "So…food. What did you have in mind?"
She saw his smile falter and the stolen look he gave to look at the scar that had been exposed as she moved. Shame flooded over her as she quickly adjusted her sleeve and looked at the ground, knowing full well that he knew what it was from and he probably figured that her leave of absence had to do with it. She couldn't tell him that the stitches Tyler did hadn't been good enough and that one had opened or something. She was still confused about the whole thing. Suddenly she didn't seem to have her appetite, only a wave of fatigue that had been waiting to hit her finally overcame her and she physically went slack, her shoulders slumped and she walked past him. She walked up to the cabin door and she was tempted to walk in but something-- someone-- was stopping her. No, there wasn't someone in the doorway watching their little tragic reunion. He-- Trevor-- was keeping her from going inside because she couldn't bring herself to walk in and leave him.
"Before I-I explain anything... can you come in and just hold me? For just a few minutes, remind me that I'm here and this isn't just another dream and that I'm not going crazy." She wouldn't tell him or anyone that more than one time she had been close to calling her parents and telling them what had happened but she had stopped herself. She was sure someone had informed her parents without Jensen's or her own permission (even though she was older than 18) but she can never be sure. She doesn't want anything to cloud her judgement and make her think that they can somehow find her again and then come to Camp and make her leave. She didn't want to leave and have any regrets. "Then you can leave... I won't hold it against you if you do. Right now... right now I'm a mess. I'm s-sorry I can't explain more to you. I don't-- I don't want to keep secrets from you, it's just... I don't think I can tell anyone at the moment what happened. I-I promise that I'll tell you everything when I'm ready, alright?"
Lydia had left without a word, which had become a bit of a custom here at Camp, but that didn’t stop Trevor from worrying—especially since some of the time, people didn’t come back. So, when he saw Lydia near him, he thought that someone must have slipped something into the milk because this may very well be a hallucination. Smiling slightly, he stared down at Lydia as his mind flooded him with a barrage of questions.
Listening to her nervousness, he thought it best not to touch her or ask such questions now—or maybe ever. What had happened there was important in its own right, but nothing right now mattered more than her happiness. Moving out of her way he said with an apologetic smile, “Oh! Of course you can…sorry. I’m glad you’re back” As she mentioned time zones, his head perked up, his eyebrows furrowed as he asked, “Timezones…?” He inwardly cursed himself for ever asking seeing as she was obviously tired and in no mood to talk.
"Y-Yeah. I had to go away for a... for a bit and I wasn't able to stay... here." She didn't know how else to say it without giving it away. Jensen had swarn her to secrecy because he didn't want this to be a big deal and she hadn't wanted people to keep worrying about her because she had let something get so out of hand. She hadn't even let anyone see the scars on her arm or the redness from the medicine they had to give her that left some nasty looking side effects at first. She just wanted things to go back to normal-- whatever normal was.
Looking up at Trevor she let some of her mysteriousness dissolve as a small smile turned up her lips before she rubbed her eyes with the sleeve of her good arm, letting the arm with the scar dangle at her side. She was still on pain medication and some heavier things that made her mind a bit fuzzy once she took the pills but she wasn't due to have one for another few hours but the little burn of the thing was appearing ever so slightly. "I-If you wanted, once I drop my things, we can... we can have some food. I haven't really eaten anything all day." Or the past two days.
To be honest with you, this place is a lot nicer than I thought it would be.
A-A lot of people say that, actually. I-I was... I was a bit surprised as well but i-in a good way, you know?"
"Okay the quiet was fun at first but now it’s just unusual. What the hell is going on with everyone?"
"I-I don't-- I don't know. I-I just got b-back s-so I-I don't... I don't know. H-Has it b-been quiet around recently o-or something?"
Everything seemed different as Lydia walked through the cabins of Camp, having only a few minutes before been flown back in by helicopter after having to go and get the wound she had received the night of the bonfire checked due to the redness surrounding it and the fever she had. It turned out the arm had been close to being infected. It took a bit but Lydia was finally infection free and pain-free. The only thing she needed to worry about now was how to tell everyone where she had been.
The shy girl saw someone standing near her cabin and she cleared her throat, clasping and unclasping her hands together as she tried to figure out what she was going to say. "U-Um..." She knew this wasn't going to be easy but she couldn't think of an excuse that seemed plausible for the time of her absence, "C-Can I please get through? I-I was told I need to stay in my cabin for the rest of the night and tr-try to get back t-to the timezone."

Charlie smiled at the girl and held up her hand for a high five. “I have never in my life ever saw a four-leaf clover. Very lucky girl!”
"R-Really?" Her eyes brightened as she held the clover out. "W-Well I-I have found one b-before so you... so you can have th-this one. F-For good luck."
"So, this is camp, huh? Places seems interesting enough."
"I-It's like all the genres of b-books combined." Lydia mumbled, giving a quick wave to the new person. "W-We have r-romance, m-mystery... S-suspense a-and m-m-murder! B-but... I wouldn't worry much..." She subconsciously rubbed her arm where the stitches Tyler had given her were. "B-But never get drunk o-or be alone in th-the woods."
She let a timid smile turn up her lips. "I-I'm... I'm Lydia..."
