To Seek, and Find | Marluxia+Larxene
cutthroat-nymphâ:
Hearing Marluxiaâs voice raise, Larxeneâs head snapped up and her eyes widened. There have been a handful of times that sheâs heard that voice be raised in such awayâŚand it was never good. For once she agreed with the hurt her Heart was telling her to feel, but it all still pissed her off. She wanted to tell Marluxia about Letzie- Strelitzia, but she knew that if the flower boy rushed off to be reunited with herâŚit could hurt them both. Severely.
Rushing over and grabbing the otherâs arm, âI know that you donât want to give up, and neither do I. Donât ever assume that Lauriam,â she ignored her usage of the name, âbut understand the circumstances that weâre in right now.â
A voice filled her head, âYou should tell himâŚhe loves her too.â
Larxene knew that was Elrena talking to her and her immediate reaction was just to ignore the voiceâŚbut this was something too serious to ignore.
Sighing, âClothes shopping will have to wait,â Larxene waved her hand and a corridor opened, âletâs head back to my placeâŚI need to explain somethingâŚâ
Walking through the portal, Larxene found herself in her apartment and waited for Marluxia to walk through.
âYouâre...right,â he managed through a tight throat. He stared down at his friendâs grip on his arm, face crumpling. The pressure in his chest as unbearable, but he savored the pain of it as much as he resented it.Â
âYouâre right,â Marluxia repeated, gazing upon the opened corridor. âThere are things I donât know. And youâre being awfully cagey.âÂ
âIf I didnât know any better, Larxene, Iâd think...you were planning to betray me.â
It would be rather funny, in an awful sort of way, wouldnât it? Together he and Larxene had betrayed the Organization, had tried to do it again with Xehanort--only to fail--and as sages were fond of warning, âthird time is the charmâ, after all. But Marluxia did know better; for as caustic a person Larxene could be, when one earned her loyalty, it was through thick and thin.Â
And theyâd been through the thick of it plenty of times. Hadnât they?Â
So, uncaring of the clothes he still held over his arm, he followed Larxene through the portal and arrived within her abode, immediately inspecting it curiously.Â
